LESSON PLAN (for a speaking skill) Supervisor’s name: PHẠM HÙNG Student teacher’s name: PHAN THỊ TRÀ MY Class: 10B12 Lesson: Speaking – Unit 15: CITIES (English 10_ Basic Edition) I. CLASS LEVEL: Pre-intermediate II. AIMS:  To help students describe a city and compare with another cities.  To help students know how to state their preferences and explain the reason. III. TARGET LANGUAGE/ SKILLS:  Language: present and practice some vocabulary items concerning cities and use the comparative structures.  Skills: get students to practice speaking skill for describing the scene of the city and compare with another cities. IV. ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE:  Students have finished reading text  Students have learnt some vocabulary concerning the city. V. ANTICIPATED PROBLEM:  Students may have problems with grammar  The class will be noisy  There may not have enough time to practice VI. SOLUTION:  Simplify the instruction  Manage class’s working time VII. TEACHING AIDS: pictures, board, chalk, textbook, handouts VIII. PROCEDURE: The pre stage, the while stage and the post stage. IX. TIME GUIDED: 45 minutes.
