Reading questions/ Kĩ thuật biên soạn câu hỏi đọc hiểu. a) Question Techniques for Beginners - Có 2 dạng đơn giản để kiểm tra kĩ năng đọc 1 cho HS ở trình độ thấp: True/ False và matching. + Những câu hỏi T/F được lấy ý từ đoạn text. + Matching: HS nối câu hỏi với ý trả lời từ trong đoạn văn. → T/F dễ dàng chuẩn bị hơn. Dạng này dễ hơn dạng multiple choice đ/v Hs ở trình độ thấp. ( lớp 8-9: 150-300 từ) → Cứ 100 từ thì có thể đặt được 3-4 câu hỏi. → Sử dụng các bài đọc từ nhiều nguồn khác nhau để tạo sự phong phú. → HS có khả năng đọc hiểu tốt có thể trả lời 1 câu hỏi trong 1 phút bao gồm đọc thông tin trong đoạn văn. Nhưng HS chậm hơn và những đoạn văn khó hơn thì có thể cần gấp đôi thời gian. Như vậy là không giúp cho việc đọc hiểu của HS.) 3. Passage comprehension tests which use questions on trivial details encourage word-by-word reading. ( Dùng những câu hỏi tiểu tiết thì khuyến khích HS đọc từng từ, không đọc tổng quát lấy ý) Chú ý: Dạng test đọc hiểu cho trình độ HS mức độ cao thì nên: (1) Tránh dùng những câu hỏi cho các từ/ cụm từ 1 cách chính xác như chúng xuất hiện trong đoạn văn.
