Warm up: (5 minutes) - Invite Ss to join a simple activity: Answer some Question. - Ask Ss some questions and call some of them to answers. - Give feedback. 1. Play a song and ask Ss what the title of this song. 2. Look at the picture and guess the name of the sport? 3. What is the name of this famous football team? 4. What is the name of this instrument which is very popular in South Africa in 2010? * Lead: “The Cup of Life”, “football, “Brazil” and “vuvuzela are well-known in the same big event. Can you tell me the name of this event? - Work individually. - Listen carefully the questions and answer to receive some presents from T. - Suggested answers: 1. The Cup of Life. 2. Pre-reading: Activity 1: (5 minutes) - Give Ss handouts and ask Ss to do to know more about the 2002 World Cup. - Call some Ss to stand up and speak aloud the answers. Handout: 1.
