Abstract: Catalysts on the basis of cobalt oxide supported on y-A^Os modification by ammonia and ammonium nitrate have been prepared from cobah acetate and studied in the reaction of synthesis of liquid hydrocarbons from carbon monoxide. The optimal contents of cobalt in catalysts prepared from cobalt acetate have been shown to be 20 wt.%o, while the optimal content of cobalt in catalysts prepared from cobalt nitrate has been found to be 15 wt.%. The liquid hydrocarbon yield obtained on the sample with 20 M't. % of Co from cobalt acetate precursor was higher than that from cobalt nitrate. I.
