Lesson Plan (grade 11 – advanced) Period : 23 Preparation date : 22/10/2011 Unit : 3 Lesson : writing (cont) I. Aims : - By the end of the lesson, the students are able to write a letter of invitation - By the end of the lesson, the students are able to write a letter of acceptance or refusal. II. Techniques : - writing-based - Procedures : State/time Teacher’s and students’ activities Blackboard Materials 1. warm- up (7’) Checking the previous lesson - write on the board parts of a letter which are ordered randomly - call on a St to rearrange in order. - check the answer Transition: last time we studied components of and a letter of invitation / 1 request for a reply 2. invitation 3. opening / greeting 4. closing and ending 5. reason for event 6. venue, date & - s refusal / acceptance ; and words and phrases for writing a letter.
