Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify objects (plural) and ask about objects (plural) II. Teaching aids: - Teacher cards ( 1 – 16, 33 - 34 classroom objects ), wall chart, tape recorder. III. Procedures: Tim Stages and Teacher’s Student’s e Contents activities activities WARM-UP AND REVIEW: Act. 1: Singing: Act. 2: Review the old sentences in Unit 1. PRESENTATIO N: Act. 1: Introduce - Play the music (Let‘s chant, let’s sing) - Ask Ss to listen to the music and sing the song Use TC 1-8 and say: What’s this?  Ss: It’s (a pencil) Singing Ask and aswer the questions study newwords the singular forms of the words. Act. 2: Introduce the question and answer pattern. - Introduce 2 new words by explaining their meanings. grandmothe r grandfather - Use the puppets to teach the sentences. - Puppet A:(point to the card ) Who is he? Listen and repeat the sentences PRACTICE: Act. 1: Listen and repeat:  Puppet B: He is my grandfather. - Puppet B:(point to the card ) Who is she?  Puppet A: He is my grandmothe r. - Ask a student as puppet A, T as puppet B. Then change the role practise the sentences. Then change the role. listen and point to the characters listen and repeat the sentences Act. 2: Practice the dialogue: - Note: Who is= Who’s She is = she’s He is = he’s PRODUCTION: Act. 1: Show and Tell: Who is he? Who is she? He’s……/ She’s……… - Divide the class into 2 groups, practise the sentences. Then change the role. - Play the tape and ask Ss to look at the books, listen and point to the characters - Play the tape again and ask Ss work in pairs to practice the dialogue Ask and answer the questions Who is he? Who is she? He’s……/ She’s…… … to listen and repeat the sentences - Ask Ss to work in pairs, practice the dialogue -Point to a TC on the board and ask: Who is he?
