I’m going to talk about my little son He is five years old He looks tall and chubby

He has short dark hair and very bright eyes He really enjoys going to the kindergarten where he meets a lot of new friends and plays with friends at the same age He is very naughty and stubborn He sometimes comes back home with some scratches on his face At home, he likes playing with his toys such as Lego puzzle, robots, trains or planes ect He is particularly interested in watching cartoons He can spend hours watching cartoons on cartoon network His favourite one is Tom and Jerry At the weekend, my husband and I often take him to the zoo where there is fresh air and also great chance for my son to look at animals

When he was little, we were very worried that he was underweight because he was very lazy eating Luckily, he has a good appetite now and looks very chubby We don’t have to force him to eat any longer So as a child, he has changed a lot That’s why we regularly go shopping for his clothes

It is very difficult to say what he will do in the future My son really likes doing puzzles, so we guess that he might do something related to natural science An

engineer or an architect perhaps

Trang 12

• How that person has changed since they were younger

And say if you think that person is happy to be that age or not and why

I'm going to talk about my father because he has been a major influence in my life

My father looks tall and rather thin He has got thick eyebrows and a little mustache

He has got very bright eyes He was always a good role model for me as I was

growing up He's hard-working, patient and understanding; he's also got a good sense

of humour and seems to get on well with everybody Hopefully I've inherited some of these traits My father is now retired and has a lot of free time He enjoys watching

TV especially news program, playing chess with my neighbours and taking care of his grandchildren My father loves travelling a lot, too Therefore, my parents try their best to explore one place each year Last year, they went to Danang and they’re going

to Ninh Binh this year

My father has changed a lot He has some wrinkles on his face now Despite his old age, I think he is still enjoying his life now because I can see his smiles on his face and he always has a very positive outlook on life My father really sets a good

example for us

Trang 13

• Where it is

• What it is used for

And say if you like that building or not and why

Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu Quốc Tử Giám) is my favourite place which has made a great impression on me It is located on Van Mieu, Quoc Tu Giam Street Although located in the city centre, it is rather peaceful and quiet It has a long

entrance and a lot of trees and grass alongside

It is a national historic site It was built in 1070 in Ly dynasty as a Temple to be dedicated to Kongzi – Confucian Seven years later in 1076, the first university of Vietnam was built there for princes and Generals’ sons to learn

Nowadays, it becomes the symbol of Hanoi and among the most frequently visited destinations in the capital of Vietnam besides Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old

Quarter It symbolizes Vietnamese traditional fondness for learning Therefore, students often come here to pray for their success before taking exams

I really enjoy visiting the Temple of Literature because I feel proud of our forefathers when coming here
