Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to understand more about the simple past tense and the usage of “wish” I.Knowledge: the simple past tense and the usage of “wish” II. Skills:: reading and writing. B. Procedures: 1. Warmer - Greeting. - Checking attendance. - Asking for the teaching date. 2.New lesson: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ACTIVITIES Warm up: - Give sts a picture and describe about this activities yesterday. - correct Activity 1: - Ask sts to give the structure of the past simple tense. - Give some example more. - Let sts compare the past simple with the present simple. - the same/ the difference - Sts give the sentences. (picture) - Yesterday he watched TV. - He went swimming with his friend. - He did his homework… 1. Past simple: *form: S + Ved/V2 + . Ex: I bought my bike last year. S + didn’t + V(inf) . *Present simple: S + V/Vs/Ves + . (Sts) * Usage: Thì quá khứ đơn dùng để chỉ hành - Have sts do the exercise about the tense. - Guide sts to do exercise: (flash card) - Introduce the sentence with “wish” in the exercise. - Ask sts to give the anwsers. - Sts write the anwsers on the board. She wishes she went abroad. *Exercise: Rewrite the sentences, using the sentence “wish”: a. My friend cannot stay with me longer. - Sts work in pairs. - Get sts to do in speaking. - Some other sts write the anwsers on the board. - T & the others correct. *Consolidation: - Ask sts to review, say the use of “wish” in present. -> b. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to understand about the present perfect and the passive more. I.Knowledge: present perfect and the passive voice. II.Skills:speaking, reading and writing. B. Procedures: 1. Warmer: - Greeting. - Checking attendance. - Asking for the teaching date. 2.New lesson: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ACTIVITIES Revision: - Ask sts to review the past simple tense. - Give an example. - T explains more. Activity 1: - Ask sts to give the form of the perfect present tense. - T explains about the usage of each kinds. - Give the examples and guide sts to use the time adv. *Note: - recently/ already - yet - ever/ never - since/ for - Ask sts to do some exercises. Activity 2: - Let sts to review the passive voices. - Guide sts to give the forms. - Explain the usage and forms of each kind. S + Ved/ V2 + Ex: They built this school in 1995. 1. Present Perfect: * Form: S + have/ has (not) + Ved/ V3 . *Usage: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành dùng để chỉ hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ và hành động đó kéo dài đến hiện tại. Ex: I have learned English for 4 years. - Diễn tả hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ và hành động đó không cần xác định rõ vào thời điểm nào. Ex: I have read the report already. - Diễn tả hành động lặp đi lặp lại, một kinh nghiệm đã qua. Ex: I have ever been to Dalat several times. *Note: - since + mốc thời gian (từ .) - for + khoảng thời gian (khoảng .) *Exercise: Make sentences about the following people (workbook 1 page 12) - Sts do then write the answers on the board. 2. Passive: S + be + P.P. (Ved/ V2) (bị, được) *Trong câu bị động: động từ “to be” chứng tỏ thì của câu. a. Present Simple: S + am/is/are + P.P. Ex: Peter eats a cake. -> A cake is eaten by Peter. - Sts give examples. * Ask sts to do exercise in the workbook Unit 2: ex 6. (flashcard) - Sts compare the different between the active and the passive. - T gives the change of them. b. Past Simple: S + was/ were + P.P. Ex: The personal manages sackek us. - We were sacked by the personal manager. c. Future Simple: S + will + be + P.P. Ex: The milkman will deliver the milk. -> The milk will be delivered by the milkman. d. Present and Past Progressive: S + am/is/are + being + P.P. was/ were Ex: The police are questioning him. -> He is being questioning by the police. e. Future progressive: S + will be + being + P.P. Ex: She will be being waited for at 8.00 pm tomorrow. f. Present Perfect: S + have/ has + been + P.P. Ex: I’ve been questioned by the police. g.
