A / Aims and objectives : By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to give

their ideas about wearing school uniform and they will know some structures

in the lesson such as I think , In my opinion , firstly

- Skill : Argumentative writing

B/ Language content:

1 Vocabulary: encourage , be equal in , bear one’s name, freedom of

choice, self- confident

C/ Teachniqes : explanation, pair work, group work, using pictures

D / Teaching aids :Text book , chalk , board , pictures, Latop, OPH, visual

aids

E/ Procedure :

5 min I / warm up : greetings

Do you like playing a game ?

I have a game “ Lucky number ”

Do you know “ Lucky number ” ?

I divide class into two groups :

Look at the board : call and speak the name of the clothes

in the picture

T: nêu luật chơi và cử 1 học sinh làm trọng tài

T: Look at the picture Then anwser my questions

Do you like wearing jeans as them in this picture ? Why ?/

Why not ?

T: There are many idea about wearing clothes It’s an

argument

- Read the word : “ argument ”.What does it means ?

- To write a paragraph , how many parts are there in a

paragraph?

confidence to somebody

- to be equal in ( explantion )

Ex: Nam is 30 kg in weight ,Mai is 30 kg , too They are

equal in weight

- to bear one,s name ( picture)

- freedom of choice ( translation ) : Tù do lùa chän

- Self – confident ( translation ): Tù tin

Ask to read in chorus

* Checking technique :

- close your notebooks

T speaks an English word , students speak the same

meaning in Vietnamese and against

1 What is the topic in the outline ?

2 Why does wearing uniforms encourge students to be

- No, they don’t

- Ask Ss to look at Outline B and read in front of the class

- Asks answer the questions

1 What is the topic of argument ?

Secondary school students should wear casual clothes

2.Why should secondary students wear casual clothes ?

Because it makes Ss feel comfortable , give them freedom

of choice, makes Ss self- confident, makes schools more

colorful and lively

-Tell Ss to work in group to discuss and get some more

ideas about the topic

- Write their own

- compare the content of topic with a partner

- Go around and provide help if necessary and correct

common mistakes

- Collect some their writings to show

- Correct mistake if any and give suggested writing

- Read correct writing in front of the class

3 Post writing :

* Game “ Classification “ - Give a list of words that belong to two ideas : about wearing uniforms and casual clothes : equal , comfortable , self-confident , proud , practical , colorful , uniform , casual clothes , lively ,freedom, bear , rich , fashion, poor, uniforms Casual clothes ………
