ESSAY 1

In my to-meet list, there are so many famous people who I’m very muchinterested in and dream to meet The person I would like to talk today, she’s acountry music singer, Taylor Swift.

I could start off by saying that she is just impeccable She is not only apopular singer but also a talented song writer.

Well, with a sweet and amazing voice, she is the first female artist haswon Grammy Award for Album of The Year twice, which is extremelyprestigious and noble.

In addition to a singer, she is renowned as a musician with an innateability She always loves writing songs about her own life Perhaps, for thisreason, her songs are so inspiring and vivid, which always cheer me upwhenever I feel down in the dumps.

And I shouldn’t forget to mention that all the time, she looks gorgeouslike an angel in dresses, which helps her earn the title “The princess of thecountry music”.

Something else I need to comment on is that she is very kind-hearted andsympathetic You know, she founded a charitable organization which raisesfunds to support poor children in the third world.

You know, properly I can never forget a compliment on her personality ina magazine, which said that: “Swift radiates her kindness wherever she goes”.That’s all I can say about my beloved idol.

A famous person who I am really interested in is definitely My Tam.

She is the best pop singer in Viet Nam who embarked on her singing career

in 1999 The Da Nang-born singer has recently become Vietnam’s first-everartist to be listed on Billboard’s World Albums chart, after releasing her ninthstudio album ‘Tam 9’.

My Tam is my biggest idol because she is a great singer with beautifulvoice Some years ago, I caught a glimpse of her on TV and was immediately

hooked by her outstanding performance I have become her loyal fan since

then I really like the way she sings and the way she expresses the feeling of

the song To my admiration, she has always worked seriously to give high

quality music products.

My Tam is beloved for her good personality too She is known to all

her fans for her gregariousness and sense of humor Besides, she has also

devoted her time to organizing free concerts for university students

nationwide Together with her fans and friends, she has been doing a lot of

charity activities silently to help the poor, the sick and the homeless people.

ESSAY 3

I am going to tell you about a well-known physicist whose biography

recently really caught my attention He is a house-hold name around the

world, Albert Einstein.

He is recognized as the father of modern physics and he was the

founder of the Theory of Relativity, which became an essential, if not the

most important, contribution to modern science He was also awarded theNobel Physics prize thanks to this discovery.

Besides knowing him due to his many achievements, I did come acrossand read a biography of him on the internet which really intrigued me and

contained a lot of information that made me admire him a lot His childhood

was not as carefree as I initially thought and I was totally impressed by his

perseverance and dedication to science despite having communication

problems at a very young age.

I love how Albert Einstein lived and worked with passion and

enthusiasm all his life, which, I feel is a shining example and a great

inspiration for me to follow Albert was hunted by the Nazi’s for most of hisadult life, yet he never abandoned his love for science and kept working even

when he was running to protect himself.

So, in other words, he really inspired me to pursue my goals and

dreams with all I that I have, despite any difficulties that I may come acrossalong the way.

The store, named “The Daily Shop”, is located near the place where I livein the city of Samsun in Turkey This is a large superstore and sells a widevariety of products The shop has many positive aspects First of all, it isaccessible from any part of the city for its geographical location Further, theinterior decoration of the shop is admirable This is an interesting cue card topicand I am glad to have it I will answer the reaming questions and describe theshop in brief And thank you for the opportunity to let me talk about it.

This store is open to all and they have numerous types of commodities.People often go there to purchase products for their household use Besides, thisa good place to pick a gift item for someone I guess the number of adult-malecustomers is higher than females and children on an ordinary day On aweekend, however, more female customers could be seen I am not sure whythis is the case but I guess female shoppers prefer shopping on weekends ratherthan weekdays!

The shop mostly sells the daily necessaries like the canned food,toiletries, cosmetics, fruits, groceries, vegetables, dairy products, fish, packagedfood, various types of meats like beef, chicken, soft beverages like juice and thelist goes on

I appreciate their efforts to ensure the quality of each product Ifrequently visit the shop as it is adjacent to my residence So, while returningfrom my office, I go there to buy something I need at home And I sometimesvisit this store to check their latest collection of toiletries and perfumes I alsolike the way they serve the clients.

Shopping is one of my least favorite things to do, but unfortunately, lifedoesn’t exactly care whether I like it or not So, I have to go to a shopregardless But, to make my “shopping job” a little less troubling, I have pickedup one particular shop – a super shop that is – which I would like to talk about.

As I have mentioned earlier, it is a “super shop” which is only about afew minutes’ drive from where I live But, since it is not really located in somepopular part of the city, this super shop has remained “obscure” to many city-dwellers for the most part But, still, this super shop attracts a rather largenumber of shoppers from all walks of life who almost regularly visit this shop.In fact, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to suggest that most of the customers ofthis particular shop consider it as their “family super shop” because they havebuilt up a special relationship with its staffs Here it is worth mentioning that itis not exactly a very big shop, probably not more than 1000 square feet, and soeven a small gathering of customers in it at any given time would make thissuper shop look rather crowded.

Anyway, the visitors of this super shop can be anybody, from regularfactory workers to top executives of some big companies, who visit it in orderto meet their daily shopping needs, be it buying just a loaf of bread or somefruits and vegetables The super shop also offers other products andmerchandises like cosmetics, perfumes, dairy products, toiletries, small kitchenappliances, meat products, fish and different kinds of snacks among otherthings

In conclusion, I like visiting this shop mainly because it is very close tomy home Great customer services and relatively cheaper prices on many of itsproducts, and the availability of some fresh fruits and vegetables are some of thereasons for which I like to visit this super shop Finally, I like this shop becauseit remains clean and tidy most of the times.

Ho Chi Minh City is a popular tourist destination due to its fascinating

culture, classic French architecture, sleek skyscrapers as well as ornate

temples and pagodas As a result, it is pretty difficult to pick out oneparticular place among millions of tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City.Personally, I believe that Bitexco Financial Tower is the most impressive

skyscraper It is located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s business and

entertainment district At completion in 2010, it became the tallest building inVietnam until January 2011.

The creative mastermind behind Bitexco drew inspiration for thisskyscraper’s unique shape from Vietnam’s national flower, the lotus To theVietnamese, the lotus is a symbol of purity, commitment and optimism.

This 68-storey building features many offices, shops, restaurants The mainattraction at the tower is the Sky Deck where visitors can enjoy dramatic

One of the most interesting places I have ever come to was Hoi Anancient town Located in Quang Nam, a central region of Vietnam This placeattracts hordes of tourists every year to come and enjoy the wonderful time inHoi An.

I went to Hoi An about 5 years ago when I graduated from university Atthat time, I never thought I could have a wonderful experience in here Hoi Anis really a holiday destination for everyone who love the breathtaking view andthe atmosphere Every house in Hoi An left me with some memories about thepast and also reminded everyone how prosperous the town had.

I visited Hoi An ancient town because I was craving for sampling thelocal food in here The cuisine of central region was so different from otherregions Although I and my buddies had initially planned on which places tovisit, I always ended up going off the beaten track there were too manyinteresting places to explore The weather was also a factor which made me lovethis place much I believed the cool weather of Hoi An would dispel the heat ofsummer in southern area.

I really enjoyed my time in Hoi An ancient town It was a one-of-a-kindexperience, and if I have enough money, I will gladly have another trip back tothis town.

Vietnam is worldwide famous for its scenic landscape and outstandingfood, and Da Nang is definitely a place where you can be very well catered forboth of them It is located in the central part of Vietnam and the city itself is acolorful burst of energy between its fast modernization and charm of the oldtowns.

Danang is one of the most attractive destinations for tourists thanks to itslong stunning beaches All the beaches have long stretches of white sand andthe water is crystal clear The sea can be calm at times but the surf can also bespectacular The beach is not only beautiful but also easy to reach by differentkinds of transport as it lies right next to the city.

Danang is also popular for its set of 6 awesome and quite eccentricbridges and that strikes many visitors to this fair city.

And if you have any chance to visit this lovely city, don’t forget to try itslocal food and let me put this simply Danang is a food lover dream.

ESSAY 1

I’d like to tell you about the food that I really like.

It’s Phở- one of the specialties in Vietnamese cuisine Phở has severaldiversities, but I like Phở Thìn the most It has been popular with not onlyVietnamese people but also foreign tourists In recent years, it has been featuredon CNN and other American TV channels.

Phở consists of rice noodles, sliced beef, broth made from beef bones andonions All the ingredients are put in a bowl with onions on top of the beef.

There are a bunch of places where you can eat Phở, and the prices greatlyvary But I would recommend Phở Thìn on Lò Đúc street as the price is veryreasonable– it costs only 30,000 VNĐ while it may cost 50.000 – 1000,000VNĐ at other places.

Honestly, a bowl of Phở is always mouth-watering to me The tastes ofall ingredients are in perfect harmony It has a delicate taste and smells so goodthat I can’t resist it whenever I go past Phở is also nutritious enough to be atypical breakfast in Vietnam.

Plus, I really respect the painstaking efforts to make Phở You know, itmight take up to 10 hours to make Phở Those who make Phở should have a big

passion so that they have preserved the business of making Phở for decadesalthough it is not really a lucrative one.

Take Mr Thìn, the owner of Phở Thìn for example His life has been onthe rocks several times as incomes from selling Phở could not cover his livingcosts and his wife left him But he still sticks to his passion, and last year he wasinvited to Japan as the ambassador of Vietnamese cuisine to make Phở forJapanese people.

I’m going to talk about banh mi thit – a traditional Vietnamse bread andalso one of the best street food in the world, which is of course one of myfavourite foods too Actually, I love all kinds of bread, but if I had to chooseone to talk about, banh mi was definitely the top of my list.

Originally, Vietnamese breads stemmed from its French counterpart butgradually, they were renewed to adapt to Southeastern people’s taste and nowthey are considered as a symbol of Vietnamese cuisine There are variousrecipes for making a banh mi thit For example, some people who love jambonor would put them together into their banh mi, while some would eat it withVietnamese pork sausage The first layer of my own favorite banh mi thit mustbe pork pate which has to be made by the store near my house, then it is toppedwith lots of sliced Vietnamese pork sausage and one sunny-side up fried egg.Finally, it could not be done without some pickles and cucumber.

It’s very simple to prepare a classic Vietnamese bread, but it tastes sogood And it’s very healthy because of the veggies you add I and many otherVietnamese people always have it for breakfast because I don’t have much time
