1.1.2 History of Formation and Development:

Edmicro Education Company Limited was established in January 2018 based on the initiative of the Hoc Mai Education System and leading experts in the application of technology in training activities Edmicro is a startup in the field of educational technology, with its main product being the multi-platform learning application http://Onluyen.vn for secondary school students and university exam preparation The company's name, Ed-Micro, signifies the approach of breaking down knowledge into bite-sized learning and applying big data and machine learning technologies to create personalized learning pathways for each student.

Currently, Onluyen.vn has attracted hundreds of thousands of students nationwide since the product was launched in early 2018 According to the plan, in the coming time, Onluyen.vn will introduce new features to promote learning and build more effective learning pathways.

1.3 Departments

1.3.1 Board of Directors: Functions

The Board of Directors functions as the pivotal center of the company, actively involved in overseeing and directing all operational activities Collaborating closely with the workforce, the board formulates developmental steps and objectives, contributing significantly to the sustainable growth of the company and the realization of its mission Its crucial responsibilities encompass the supervision and management of the company, establishment of an effective management system, maintenance of positive relationships within the organization, determination of strategic direction and overarching goals, and the comprehensive handling of recruitment, supervision, evaluation, and development of key management personnel.

1.3.2 Technical Department

The Technical Department holds a pivotal role in both product development and providing technical support to other departments Its responsibilities encompass receiving projects directly from the Board of Directors, developing the technical aspects of company products, managing the internal network system, overseeing external technical information dissemination while ensuring security compliance, and executing tasks related to customer account initiation and management Additionally, the department actively supports other departments in addressing various technical issues Overall, the Technical Department is integral to the company's product enhancement and offers vital technical assistance across the organization.

1.3.3 Content Department

The Content Department is a vital component of any educational company, consisting of esteemed editors and teachers who contribute to the core value of the products Their diverse responsibilities include compiling question banks for school subjects and international certifications/exams, providing online support for schools and

departments, generating ideas and creating online lectures, assisting other departments,

and designing relevant lesson materials The department plays a crucial role in shaping the comprehensive value of the company's educational offerings, ensuring a robust and effective educational experience.

1.3.4 Business Department (B2B - Business to Business)

In the educational company's B2B sector, the core value of products is shaped by esteemed editors and teachers Their key responsibilities include compiling question banks for school subjects and international certifications/exams, providing online support for schools and departments, creating online lectures, assisting other departments, and designing relevant lesson materials These collaborative efforts contribute significantly to the overall educational value delivered by the company within the B2B framework.

1.3.5 Business Department (B2C – Business to Customer)

The B2C sales department is dedicated to providing practical products to customers, particularly students and teachers, including online classes, question sets, and tutoring services Its core responsibilities involve recruiting teachers for tutoring programs and online classes, collaborating with other departments to develop business plans for B2C services, and actively engaging in customer care, collecting valuable feedback from B2C customers.

1.3.6 Customer Support Department

The Customer Support department plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction from pre-purchase to post-purchase stages It is dedicated to demonstrating care, providing assistance, and offering services that meet the diverse needs and desires of customers Key responsibilities include handling and resolving customer requests and inquiries comprehensively, acting as a central support point for company events, conducting training sessions for staff, teachers, and students on product usage, and actively seeking customer feedback through surveys This feedback is crucial for understanding customer opinions on product/service quality, and their valuable

contributions are used to continuously enhance and improve the overall quality of products and services.

1.3.7 Administrative and Accounting Department

The Administrative and Accounting department, as an integral part of the company's organizational structure, is tasked with implementing human resource organizational plans and accounting functions in accordance with company policies and regulations Its diverse responsibilities include developing and planning human resource structures for various departments, overseeing human resource activities such as recruitment, performance evaluations, training, and payroll management, as well as managing accounting transactions Additionally, the department serves as an advisory body to the leadership, offering insights and support in the formulation of annual financial plans.

1.3.8 Product Development Department

The Product Development department is instrumental in enhancing the company's product quality to new levels Its primary tasks involve generating product ideas aligned with the company's development direction, conducting market research, understanding user preferences, and researching product content and production processes The department establishes standards and evaluation tools for product content and presentation throughout the production process Additionally, it conducts testing, evaluates product effectiveness, and measures user satisfaction to make necessary adjustments Collaborating with existing company partners and expanding partnerships is also part of the department's responsibility in planning product development.

1.4 Products and Services

Founded in January 2018 by Mr Nguyen Ngoc Que, an IT expert, Mr Dang Bao Linh, former director of Intel Vietnam, Mr Nguyen Quy Tien, a business expert in the

education sector, and Mr Pham Giang Linh, the CEO of the online course provider HOCMAI, Edmicro brings together a founding team with over 30 years of experience in delivering education and technical services in Vietnam.

Edmicro's flagship product, the Onluyen.vn platform, has demonstrated successful and effective implementation in over 15 provinces and cities The platform has made a significant impact, reaching more than 30,000 schools, benefiting from time and effort savings for teachers in tasks such as classroom management, assignment delivery, grading, and student monitoring Over 1,000,000 students have the opportunity to practice and experience a variety of useful features, completing assignments given by teachers based on their individual abilities.

PART 2 INTERSHIP ACTIVITIES

Before delving into the tasks of my internship at Edmicro Education Company Limited, I'd like to provide an overview of my role within the company I am an English intern working in the Content Department Consequently, the majority of my responsibilities revolve around content development, such as creating sample essays for IELTS, translating study materials and contracts, composing and editing content, providing explanations for exam questions, designing questions for interactive videos, and assisting the department with data entry into the system.

2.1 Crafting Writing Samples for IELTS:

As an IELTS Sample writer, my main objective was to prepare diverse samples that covered essays in the two Writing Tasks and Speaking Part 2 It was not just about content creation; it demanded a thorough knowledge of the structure and complexity inherent to the IELTS examination These samples required not only language skills but also a deep understanding of the intricacies of English.

To be successful in this role, I focused on the finer details of the IELTS test, understanding marking criteria, time limits and requirements placed upon examiners Although I do not have an IELTS certificate, all the tasks were performed

Writing samples creation was a never-ending process of improving my writing abilities This was not only on grammar, but also in how ideas were articulated clearly and convincingly This experience contributed to the development of my ability to formulate ideas In fact, it inspires me to attempt the IELTS Test that is scheduled for the next semester.

2.2 Translating Documents and Contracts:

In my internship, one of the most challenging tasks was translating different documents and contracts from English to Vietnamese and vice versa However, it surpassed a simple feat of linguistics by involving an understanding of the cultural connotations inherent in each word choice Every translation project became a cultural adventure, requiring not simply language insights but also cult sensitivity Some

instances include the time it took me to identify an appropriate English representation of some Vietnamese idioms and when my supervisor praised me, I was overjoyed It deserves the effort I put out.

The challenges of translating documents and contracts go beyond the rendering of literal meaning but also in retaining context as well as intent behind sentences It was essential to understand and accommodate differences in slang, legal terms, and cultural references In this regard, I learned the importance of cultural context in

communication from that experience.

While working as a translator, I was able to get acquainted with the peculiarities of legal and technical terminology Precision was an essential consideration, given the potential consequences of misunderstandings in court This was a valuable lesson from my internship that emphasizes the need for accuracy in language, understanding context and its significance as such skills are relevant across many professional settings.

2.3 Editing and Providing Explanations for Exams:

My task of editing the exams involved more duties than just proofreading It involved editing the content for clarity and precision, ensuring that questions were structured in a way that aligned with the intended purposes for which an exam is prepared This thorough review procedure demanded the sharp eye for detail and deep familiarity with a subject area.

Correcting contradictions and strengthened the general sense of coherence were important elements in editing The process included not only eliminating grammatical mistakes, it also meant ensuring that the questions were logical in structure and content flowed without interruption In addition, I also have to look at each period and comma in the explanatory sentence so that when reading it does not confuse the audience In this way, I learned a strict technique of editing that requires an accurate level of accuracy when being applied to educational materials.

Moreover, one of my responsibilities was to clarify some questions This was intended to help test-takers through challenging concepts and the fact that this exam did not just serve as a measurement tool but also educational materials It turned into a skill that I

developed during this process, realizing how crucial it is to lead candidates through complex concepts in order to give them understanding.

2.4 Editing Questions for Interactive Videos:

One of the most dynamic aspects of my internship was contributing to developing a new piece of interactive video content that allowed creativity while keeping on educational goals The editing questions task for interactive videos required special skills as the answer was not of primary importance but rather integration with video content Initially, I was very confused about what the work assignment meant Fortuitously, my boss was a very supportive tutor who patiently explained everything from scratch I remember this task took about 1 day for me to get along with it However, ensuring that questions flowed smoothly with the video content was critical in keeping participants’ attention This included not only textual aspects but also understanding how aesthetic and digital elements enhanced the learning process However, the fact that we were working on this aspect enabled me to take a closer look at how different media forms intersect and influence educational outcomes The editing of questions for interactive videos was more than the traditional formats offered by examinations It included developing questions that did not only assess understanding but also took advantage of the interactive aspect of the medium to improve learning Although I always have scripts for each video, however it is not easy to find the right kind of question answers that will fit in the videos, sometimes I had to spend hours in front of the scripts and think At the end of the day, this experience had to do with my viewpoint on assessment procedures which should be changed as they presuppose new educational technologies.

2.5 Assisting with Data Entry Tasks:

Duties included actively engaging in various data entry assignments that offered practical skills of inputting, validating as well as organizing information within databases and spreadsheets Decidedly, this seemingly mundane component of the internship formed a vital pillar of organizational efficiency by highlighting the importance of precision and accuracy in managing data.
