UNIT 1: LET’S LEARN SOME MORE Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify objects ( singular), the negative ( No ) question -and – answer. I. Teaching aids: - Picture cards 1-8 ( school items ), wall charts, tape recorder, puppets. II. Procedures: Time Stages and Contents Teacher’s activities Student’s activities 5’ 5’ 3’ I. WARM UP: Musical ball.  He: Is this a book? She: Yes, it is. II. PRESENTATION: 1. Present the negative ( No ) question -and – answer pattern: Puppet A: ( show the book): Is this a pen? Puppet B: ( toss his head): No, it isn’t. It’s a book. Puppet A: ( show the pen): Is this a ruler? Ss: No, it isn’t. It’s a pen. 2. Practice: S 1 : ( show an eraser ): Is this (a ruler?) S 2 : No, it isn’t. It’s ( an eraser). III. OPEN YOUR BOOK: 1. Open your book to page 6:   - Giving instruction. ( Period 2 ) - Showing some schoool items on the desk. Using puppets to model the negative ( No ) question – answer. - Suggesting sts to answer. - Changing the puppet B, asking sts to ask. - Deviding class into 04 groups, giving each group 02 picture cards, asking them to practise the question – answer. - Modelling. - Showing the wall chart. - Listen. - Join in the game. - Look at T’s activities , listen. - Choral answer and toss their head No, it isn’t. It’s a pen. - Choral ask: Is this a ( pen) ? - Work in groups. - Listen and choral repetition. - Practise. - Call characters’ 2’ 2’ 3’ 5’ 8’ 2. Student open their books to page 6:  3. Present the paradigm and contraction on page 6:  is not = isn’t 4. Practice:   IV. EXTENSION: Guessing Game Ss: Is this a book? : ( show the item): Yes, it is or No, it isn’t. It’s a ( ). V. WORKBOOK: Circle the answer -Playing the tape. - Writing the model. ( Full and short form) - Playing the tape again. - Playing the tape. - Playing the tape again. - Playing the tape the next part. - Deviding class into 03 groups. Asking Ss to practise asking about the pictures. - Giving instruction.
