Tran Dieu Thu and Nguyen Gia Bao Ngoc for always there to answer all my questions and support me all the time during this project Not just to them, but also to my friends and mentors who encouraged me to complete my report They have motivated me a lot as they were the topic that I strive to understand and they have been together with me throughout the whole process In addition, I would want to convey my appreciation to the 85 participants in my research It was impossible without their responsible reactions At first, my objective was simply about 60 individuals, and I was very lucky that plenty of participants care for this survey and they began to open up with me by giving their ideas about the issue In conclusion, I am extremely appreciative to have you beside me: my teacher, my friends, my mentors, and my applicants I would want to thank you one again for everything ABSTRACT Today's International Bachelor’s Degree students got themselves into a lot of problems while completing their assignments In order to discover a solution to the issue, it is essential to first identify these obstacles The findings of this study are presented to students not only to remind them of the significance of getting regular exercise but also to forewarn them of the challenges that might arise from a lack of such activity The researcher uses a survey to gather the responses of the students and then draws inferences based on those responses In the end, the researcher will arrive with a definitive conclusion that will include potential remedies to the issues Chapter I: Introduction 1.1 Background of the research: Doing assignments at home has been a long-standing problem for students Especially for college students, they have plenty of reasons prevent them completing their homework The research below illustrates the obstacles that hold back students from International Bachelor’s Degree finishing their work at home This phenomenon has been happening in secondary school, when the knowledge has gradually increased in difficulty and it takes concentration from each individual to solve it Therefore, students are counted not to assignments until high school and the situation persists until college As a consequence, these obstacles grow higher and become a habit There are main problems for this phenomenon, first and foremost, the information they look up for is not reliable enough Secondly, the exercise is too difficult compared to the learning capacity Lastly, most of college class study by group, so they will rely on other students to it instead In order to understand deeply about the problems, I would like to investigate more about why students decided not to finish their homework to understand more about the repercussions 1.2 Rationale: This study is being done because several youths in Hanoi, especially International Bachelor’s Degree university students, wish to discuss their opinions and attitudes towards this course of action and the challenges that are keeping them from doing their schoolwork The reasons why I want to this research is for understanding the problems Moreover, I want to proposing solutions for the drawbacks of this phenomenon and help students overcome difficult 1.3 Purpose of the research: Three primary objectives that I wish to accomplish with my research have been sorted out by this investigation This study primarily seeks to pinpoint the problems that students are having Secondly, this study will bring out the disadvantage of not doing assignments at home Thus, the study will be a warning for other freshmen about the drawbacks of this phenomenon and expose some solutions As a result, International Bachelor’s Degree students will have a better choice and have a different perspective on doing homework 1.4 Research question: What you understand by barriers prevent students from completing their assignments? Due to the studying on class, you think it is enough to solve the assignments that has been given? Explain it more clearly? What you think is the best way to get students to their assignment? 1.5 Scope of the research: The research focuses on National Economics University students, mainly International Bachelor’s Degree students The reason I choose them is because they have the same average age of university students, which is main subjects in this research, so it is better to have a survey on them Furthermore, the paper will interview at least 85 participants from an International bachelor degree, about 25% of total 341 students By giving samples through a Google form for students to fill their points of view, the survey will be done in 12 weeks 1.6 Structure of the research: There are a total of chapters in this survey Firstly, chapter one will discuss the introduction, which includes the background and bring out the topic title Secondly, chapter two will give the reader a literature review, understanding briefly about the research and related topic In addition, chapter is research methodology which explicates data and analyze the method that the survey collected Furthermore, chapter is about discussions, the author will give their own opinions, explain new understanding and provide solutions for problems and key factors Finally, the last chapter is the conclusion, the end of the research where author give the conclusion and some recommendation Document continues below Discover more from: Project Management Đại học Kinh tế Quố… 62 documents Go to course Dimensions and atributes of ASK Model Project Manageme… Chapter II: Literature review 100% (2) PM final - Note in 2.1 Definition: Barriers to learning are considered as the lack of access to the classroomlecture environment and the lesson goal The learner may be struggling with one or more types28 of learning barriers; therefore, the teacher should be dealing with the pupil according to their individualProject differences to ensure an100% (1) effective learning process Students who have a learning disability may Managemen… be facing many different types of learning barriers Students might wonder why they have to homework every night, so I will explain what homework is and why they have to it Cooper (1989) defines homework as "tasksFM set byCông Công thức thức FM instructors that are meant to be carried out during non-school hours." Plenty of study and discussion has gone into the issues that make it important for us to5turn in the assignments Since Project Managemen… this is the case, the majority of studies focus on establishing the benefits of homework while100% (1) ignoring its drawbacks One of the most apparent benefits of giving out homework is the fact that it improves students' chances of remembering and comprehending the stuff they studied that day Students' study abilities, school attitudes, and the realization that learning may occur anywhere 343698672 Chapter will all benefit indirectly from homework (Cooper 2001) Defining the Project Project Managemen… 2.2 The reason why students not their homework in terms of 100% (1) difficulties: Why don't some students just consistently their homework? Darling-Hammond and Ifill- EBBA11 - The primary Lynch wrote in 2006 that "a sizeable number of students didn't really know how to their purpose of this… homework, or at least how to it well enough to get any satisfaction from it." I concentrated on 111 interviewing and surveying International bachelor’s degree classesProject that had trouble with assignment completion in order to identify triggers I also utilized Management data from classes1 where None assignment completion was high (to identify habits from the homework pros) This research does broaden not only the teenagers' awareness but also impact them It will help them to find Organic-Noodles-final solutions for their problem and to ameliorate Project Management None 2.3 Effects of the phenomenon: 2.3.1 Positive impacts: I cannot say that not completing assignments at home has positive effects, but it is still beneficial in some ways Students will spend more time with their families, helping with household chores and babysitting if the notion of accomplishing schoolwork is eliminated Students who not homework often have more free time to other personal things like play sports, learn musical instruments, watch movies, or even spend time learning something they find interesting 2.3.2 Negative impacts: There were plenty of drawbacks for the matter Only 35% of pupils, according to researchers from Bryan in 2004, can identify the advantages of completing homework By identifying four issues with homework assignment that need to be addressed before suggestions are provided to increase student homework completion According to some academic’s research, the issue is not whether or not children should have homework The amount and kind of homework given to kids is more important The needs of the pupils must be met for homework to be productive For instance, some middle school instructors have had success using online math assignments that are customized to each student's comprehension level However, middle school pupils' exam results in math and science decreased when they had more than an hour and a half of homework The grades of students who completed their math and science assignments were found to be higher on standardized tests, but there was no difference in their course grades between the two groups of students, according to Indiana University researchers According to these studies, doing homework increases students' familiarity with the kind of questions that would be asked on standardized examinations rather than their topic knowledge One of the study's authors, Professor Adam Maltese, said that the findings "suggest that maybe homework is not being utilized as effectively as it might be Therefore, despite the widespread endorsement of daily homework from instructors and parents, there is no concrete proof that the long-standing practice is effective The first area that has problems is the consistency of the information Some teachers give students very little or perhaps no homework, while others give them much too much When determining how much and what sort of homework to assign to their students, teachers should work together to get the best decision possible One approach to addressing this problem would be for teachers to coordinate their efforts more closely and place a greater focus on the creation of interdisciplinary assignments for students to outside of class Another problem is that the majority of assigned homework does not serve the educational function for which it was designed Even while many assignments for students' homework are designed to teach key concepts, if a student does not comprehend the concept being taught in class, the student may end up developing bad work habits instead In addition, because of time constraints, parents often undertake their children's schoolwork, which completely undermines the purpose of assigning homework in the first place The third problem is that the exercise is just too difficult in comparison to the learner's capabilities One may argue that there is an excessive gap between the assignments that are provided and the content that is covered in class The qualities that students develop in school are not adequate for them to be able to tackle issues on their own As a consequence of this, students will get disappointed while working on the assignment as a result of their lack of competence And last, students often lack access to the appropriate materials This one could be the least complicated concern on the whole list Achieving success in school requires having access to the appropriate resources, which includes the books, tools, and instructors who can be spoken with, as well as anything else that is required to learn anything If you are in need of book suggestions, talk to your teacher about getting some so that you won't mistakenly steer your learning in the incorrect direction You should discuss with your parents the possibility of purchasing various pieces of equipment, such as a brand-new laptop, stationery, and other goods Talk to your parents about it and make your case if there is a significant need to invest in new gear (such an iPad or a new laptop) You have a chance of winning them over if you can demonstrate how the products in question will assist you in your academic endeavors There is also the possibility of attending a summer school in the United Kingdom -According to chart 3.1, more than forty-two-point four percent (42.4%) of first-year students working for an international bachelor's degree report having difficulties or being hampered in their assignment completion Continued with the following answer, fifty-four-point five percent (54.5%) and three point one (3.1%) of respondents admit that they sometimes feel constrained, although they are unsure about whether or not this is the case The information shown in pie chart 3.2 relates to the percentage of individuals who report feeling burdened by their assignments Forty-eight-point five percent (48.5%) of the student population is in agreement with the statement In a similar manner, the proportion of people who respond with "no" is simply just nine-point one percent (9.1%) Students who share feelings with one another make up forty-two-point four percent (42.4%) of the student body Figure 4: compare subjects -The figures on this chart allow the audience to select more than one option Based on the data of the bar chart, the most difficult subjects are Basic Economics (BE) with seventy-eight-point eight (78.8%) of total The figure also depicts that the second highest is the Project which is sixtypoint six percent (60.6%) of total Continued with the Computer Skills subject, people who are afraid of this account for about thirty-three-point three percent (33.3%) As can be seen from the rest of the diagram, the subjects of English and Study skills take up the smallest percentage of 16 the total, with twenty-seven-point three percent (27.3%) and twenty-one-point two percent (21.2%) respectively, of the total Figure 5: Student’s attitude -The data shown in figure has been evaluated to determine whether or not students are aware of the consequences of failing to complete their assigned assignment A majority of respondents, more than fifty-seven-point six percent (57.6%), had a neutral opinion towards the statement Regarding the portion of respondents who are totally on board, the figure comes in at twelvepoint one percent (12.1%) The amount of people who not agree is six-point one percent (6.1%), although the disagreement column only accounts for three percent (3%) There are twenty-one and a half percent of people who not agree with this statement (21.2%) 17 Figure 6: Agreed with the opinion -According to the data presented in figure 6, forty-two-point four percent (42.4%) of students working toward an International Bachelor's Degree have an apathetic attitude regarding the question of whether or not they require a solution to the adverse effects that result from not completing their assigned homework Another part of opinion that should be brought up is the fact that just three percent (3%) of students strongly agree with the statement This is something that should be brought up In the meanwhile, the proportion of students who almost completely disagree with the statement is almost twice as high as the percentage of students who just somewhat agree, coming in at thirty-three-point three percent (30.3%) compared to fifteen-point two percent (15.2%) 18 Figure 7: common reason rate -Figure makes it clear that the percentages of those who are neutrally agreed upon and those who are not so agreed upon are equivalent to one another and, taken combined, make up the highest sector, accounting for around thirty-point-three percent (30.3%) In terms of the portion of respondents who truly disagree, the number stands at six point one (6.1%) The number of students who are somewhat in agreement with the statement is twenty-one-point two percent (21.2%), while the percentage of students who are completely in agreement is twenty-one-point one percent (12.1%) 19
