usually defined as the transmission of information The phrase can either be used to describe merely the transmitted message or the area of research that focuses on such transmissions (Wiki.org) According to Sikiti (1998/1), Communication is the deliberate act of expressing, and through the use of common symbols, two or more people may communicate, receive, and interpret messages that contain wants, feelings, and factual information Besides, Sen (2005) proposed that there is a sender, a message, a medium, and a receiver in every kind of communication Active listening, receiving and giving feedback, interpreting body language, empathetic listening, persuading, questioning, and speaking is some of the various communication skills Therefore, having good communication skills helps you understand other people and be understood by them 2.2 Factors affecting students' communication skills According to the study's findings of Ihmaidat (2007), gender has a statistically significant impact on both the measurement's overall degree and the degree of two skills: emotional regulation and listening Besides, another researcher is Aljaman (2019), who looked at university students' communication abilities in relation to the academic year, gender, and special characteristics The researchers applied Hamidat's (2007) assessment, which consists of statements broken down into four categories: speaking ability, understanding others, managing emotions, and listening capacity There are 200 students from the faculties of education and pure sciences and humanities who made up the sample on which the researcher used the measurement University students have a modest degree of communication abilities, according to the findings However, this research cannot apply to the International Bachelor’s Degree students Based on the existing communication skills of the school's students, the author assesses the students' communication skills to be at a good level The university students here are quite open with each other and can communicate among students and students with teachers quite well Additionally, they demonstrated that women had stronger communication abilities than men did This conclusion raises the question of whether International Bachelor’s Degree students are the same and this question will be explored through the survey Also, fourth-year students had better communication abilities than first-year students, and students who concentrated on humanity had better communication skills than those who specialized in education The International Bachelor's program consists of different disciplines and based on each of them, students need different skills Therefore, communication skills will also be different It is unlikely that fourth-year students have a better skill than freshmen, research is relative and each university will be different It cannot be concluded that International Bachelor students of the National Economics University are similar to the university that Aljaman studied 2.3 The benefits of effective communication skills The benefits of having good communication skills are numerous and will benefit both your personal and professional life If universities motivate students to communicate effectively, they will understand their duties and responsibilities, which will support the growth of trustworthy and fulfilling connections between professors and college students And as a result, these skills could lead to fewer errors or failures Applied to International Bachelor students, students with good communication skills will be able to easily connect with upperclassmen and teachers From there, they will avoid making mistakes that their predecessors have gone through as well as draw good solutions to problems they will face in the future In conclusion, people with better communication skill will have a rather favorable learning path Not only that, the author would introduce some advantages of effective communication skills based on articles, research articles available online Firstly, Team building is quite essential Trust and communication are key to making sure that everyone in the group knows what is expected of them and what their responsibilities are This could mean giving work to several team members or making sure that one person knows they are responsible for them Also, if team members feel more comfortable talking to academics about problems or questions, it will make them more loyal and build trust When students work together, they are able to their work better Secondly, Problem-solving One of the key elements of issue-solving and problem prevention is communication In order to come up with a solution that everyone can accept and that solves the problem, you must make sure that all students are heard and given an opportunity to speak Finally, Increase productivity and engagement Students will be more engaged with their entire work and study environment if they are provided the resources they need to work comfortably and understand what is expected of them Furthermore, students who are devoted to their tasks and understand their obligations are less troubled by challenges and distractions in other areas of study and are better able to focus on their present activity, increasing productivity percentage of students choosing the range more than 100 people (7
