Period 01: REVISION OF UNIT 09 1. Objectives a, Knowledge: By the end of the lesson the Ss will be able to review some basic grammar in unit 06 “At home and way ” and practice skills. Language content: The simple past tense. Words about the topic: “At home and way” b, Skills: Reading, writing and doing grammar exercises. c, Attitude: Have a passion of studying English. 2. Preparations a, Teacher: Teacher’s book , planning, extraboard, picture, exercise book, textbook, grammar book. b, Students: Textbooks, pens, wrap pappers, pencils, grammar, vocabulary. 3. Procedures a, Check up the old lesson ( omit) b, New lesson The 1st Activity. Introduces the grammar points, helps them how to use it. Asks students to make some more examples with the grammar. Get students answer, asks them to explain why. The threory (20) Ss: Listen to the teacher, remember how to do, make some more examples with the grammar individually then compare the answer with their parttners. Answer aloud, give explaination. The Past simple tense: Form. a. Động từ có quy tắc: S + V(ed) b. Động từ bất quy tắc: S + V (cột II) Use. Thì quá khứ đơn diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra và kết thúc tại một điểm thời gian hoặc khoảng thời gian xác định trong quá khứ. Ví dụ: He arrived here yesterday. My father worked in Ha Noi from 1995 to 1998 Note:: Động từ chia ở thì quá khứ đơn có 2 dạng: Nếu là động từ có quy tắc ta thªm “ed” vào động từ nguyên mẫu. Nếu là động từ bất quy tắc phải xem và học thuộc lßng ở cột thứ 2 của bảng động từ bất quy tắc. Ví dụ: learned studied went sent Thì quá khứ đơn thương được dïng với các cụm từ chỉ thời gian xác định ở quá khứ như: last week month year…………,a week two days five months three years ago, yesterday, yesterday morning evening, in + năm, from 1945 to 1950, for + two days months………… Ví dụ: I was born in 1990 She visited Da Lat last summer. Trợ động từ “do” chia ở quá khứ là “did”. Các dạng câu Khẳng định: S + V(ed cột II) Phủ định: S + didn’t + bare –inf Nghi vấn: Did + S + bare –inf? Cách đọc động từ quá khứ đơn với “ed”. “ed” được đọc làt khi những động từ nguyên mẫu có âm tận cùng làf,k,p,t,s, Ví dụ: laughed, asked, helped, washed, pushed, dressed………. “ed” được đọc làId khi ngững động từ nguyên mẫu có âm tận cùng làd vàt. Ví dụ: needed, wanted, waited, added…………. “ed” được đọc làd khi những động từ nguyên mẫu tận cùng là các âm còn lại. Ví dụ: enjoyed, saved, arrived, filled………….
