NEW CONTRIBUTION OF THE THESIS Thesis topic: Impact of knowledge management on firm performance in Vietnamese enterprises Major: Human resource management Coach: 9340404 PhD student: Hoàng Văn Nam PhD student’s code number: NCS38.099NL Science instructors: Assoc.Prof.PhD Lê Ba Phong, Assoc.Prof.PhD Đào Thị Thanh Lam Training facilities: National Economics University New academic and theoretical contributions - Firstly, based on research overview and qualitative research, the author has added the factor "knowledge-oriented leadership" as an independent variable to the aspect of " management leadership and support " in research models - Second, based on in-depth interviews with managers, the author has developed an indicator "Technology allows data analysis and decision making" for the factor "technology" to suit the development of current information technology New findings and proposals drawn from the research and survey results of the thesis The thesis uses two methods, first-order construct and second-order construct in analysis The use of second-order construct will help assess the overall impact of knowledge infrastructure capabilities and knowledge management processes on operational results The first-order construct will help assess the impact of each element of knowledge infrastructure capacity and knowledge management process on operational results and market results Firstly, the estimated results for second-order construct variables show that knowledge infrastructure capability and knowledge process capability positively affect firm performance At the same time, knowledge infrastructure capability has a positive impact on the knowledge process capability Secondly, the estimation results for first-order construct variables show all elements of knowledge infrastructure capability, including: (1) Organizational culture, (2) organizational structure, (3) management leadership and support, (4) technology have a positive impact on firm performance However, only organizational culture has a positive effect on market performance Thirdly, the estimation results for first-order construct variables indicate that among the elements of the knowledge process capability, including: (1) Knowledge acquisition, (2) knowledge conversion and ( 3) knowledge application has a positive impact on firm performance However, only (1) knowledge conversion and (2) knowledge application positively affect market performance Fourthly, the research results of the thesis will help administrators come up with solutions to improve the knowledge management process as well as invest in the factors of knowledge infrastructure capability, especially is corporate culture, thereby improving operating performance and expanding markets Instructor PhD students PGS.TS Lê Ba Phong Hoàng Văn Nam
