Tho Chu basin in Vietnam The paper presents research results on the characteristiG of the petroleum systems in the investigated area, including source rocks, reservoirs, seals, hydrocarbon migration and traps on the basis of integrated cutting sample analyses from the C-IX well in combination with regional geological and geophysical data The obtained results contribute to a better understanding of the petroleum systems in the southwestem margin of Malay-Tho Chu basin, and encourage further exploration activities in this area in the future Key words: Petroleum system, source rock, reservoir, sea!, southwestem margin, Malay -
