can often be found in the woods near their Chevy Chase home, plotting new hikes in Rock Creek Park Missye Brickell Knapp began attending GPC in 2013 and became a member in 2014 She loves volunteering with Young Children and Worship Missye works in government affairs at Intel Corporation and lives in Northwest DC with her husband Brian and sons George (5), Henry (3), and Luke (11 months) Missye and Brian were married at GPC, and Missye originally hails from New York City where she enjoys traveling to visit family Chase Lubbock first attended GPC in 2010 while a grad student at Georgetown and became a member years later Prior to heading overseas in the fall of 2017 for a tumultuous years representing the Department of the Treasury (first in Baghdad and then Kabul), Chase was an active participant in Adult Education, Bible Study, and Saturday Suppers—activities he hopes to resume As part of his transition back stateside Chase is seeing mixed results in current efforts to both relearn how to cook and navigate the seemingly endless variety of DC’s grocery stores Catherine McEaddy Holmes joined GPC in 2005 and has since served on the Board of Deacons and the Nominating Committee and been involved with the Children’s Ministries She grew up in First (Scots) Presbyterian in Charleston, SC, and spent summers in Montreat, NC Since earning a BA in history from Davidson College and a MFA in creative writing from American University, Catherine has worked as a writer and editor She lives in Glover Park with her husband Kevin and children, Eaddy (13) and Barton (10) After spending most of 2020 in Edisto Island, SC, Catherine is happy to be back in DC driving for carpool, working on her writing, and dreaming of the day when she can safely travel again Casey Nolan began attending GPC in 2014 during her sophomore year at Georgetown University Although she left during her junior and senior years, she returned in 2017 and became a member in 2020 Casey has been heavily involved in Children's Ministries, and she currently serves as a Sunday School teacher and Young Children and Worship leader Casey works as a researcher and lives in Arlington with her rescue dog, Juniper She spends most of her free time cooking, baking, and exploring new dog-friendly spots in D.C Nominees for the Nominating Committee Class of 2022 Claire Gillum Doug Hillhouse Kathleen Jennings Steve Johnson Cristian Lopez Michele Wilson Serving Our City, United in Christ Welcome to the Georgetown Presbyterian Church If you are here for the first time, we extend a special welcome to you Please take a moment to read through the bulletin which contains important information for the life of this congregation In order to protect the young and vulnerable in our midst, we recommend worshippers wear masks throughout the service and while in the church building Ushers are wearing red lapel tags and are in the back of the Sanctuary If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them Assisted listening devices can be found in the back of the Sanctuary in a marked basket Please join us after worship for refreshments and fellowship in the Georgetown Room Children are always welcome!
