COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY RICH FITZGERALD COUNTY EXECUTIVE Proclamation WHEREAS, the Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating the Fifth Pastoral Anniversary of Reverend Dr Darryl T Canady on August 28-30, 2015; celebration events will include a concert, anniversary banquet, and reception; and WHEREAS, Rev Dr Canady received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Banking/Finance from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia; he went on to receive his Master of Divinity degree from Emory University Candler School of Theology and his Doctor of Ministry degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University; and WHEREAS, in October 1994, Rev Dr Canady accepted a call to pastor the Jackson Chapel First Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson, North Carolina; after instituting many successful ministries there and overseeing renovations, he became the pastor at Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church in February 2010; and WHEREAS, Rev Dr Canady has founded Men Only Revivals and Women Only Revivals in the church and has also established Rodman’s Equipping Leadership Academy Year-Round; he has also implemented the Community of Hope Vision, a ministry which has a strategic focus to uplift the people of the church and community through meeting their spiritual needs; and WHEREAS, Rev Dr Canady has been a blessing to the congregation at Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church and to the surrounding community; we join today with the members of the church in celebrating the positive impact he has made over the past five years NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, by virtue of the authority vested in me, hereby congratulate Rev Dr Canady on his fifth pastoral anniversary at Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church and wish him many more years to come IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the County of Allegheny to be affixed this 28th day of August, 2015 Rich Fitzgerald Rich Fitzgerald
