Mayfield Sixth Form Football Education Programme in partnership with Leyton Orient FC Here at Mayfield School we have developed an exciting new Partnership with Leyton Orient Football Club From September 2019, we are pleased to offer a new Football Education Programme ran in partnership between the school and the club for Sixth Form Pupils If you are accepted on this programme you will receive 10 hours of coaching or games based activities each week delivered by U.E.F.A qualified coaches from Leyton Orient, whilst also studying either BTEC Sport Level or A-Levels including Physical Education Some benefits of the programme include: • Coaching delivered by Leyton Orient Academy Coaches that are U.E.F.A qualified • 10 hours of coaching or games based activity during the week • Competitive games in a high standard college league • Outstanding facilities including a full size 3G AstroTurf pitch • Opportunity to study and gain qualifications at the college (A-Levels including physical education and BTEC Level in Sport) • Opportunities to explore a variety of different career opportunities in football and sport • Exit pathways to be established to university in the U.K • Exit pathways to play soccer in the U.S.A • Coaching qualifications including FA level • Top developing players will train with the Leyton Orient Youth team weekly • School based visits from 1st team players and staff Coaches from Leyton Orient have already ran a taster session with current pupils at the school and were impressed with the quality and attitude of the pupils who attended If you are interested in the programme there are two upcoming dates you should attend: Wednesday 27th March 6.30pm: Parents information evening: Leyton Orient and the staff at Mayfield school are pleased to invite you to our open parents evening This will be a chance for you to meet staff from both the club and school and to share with you our exciting football education programme that is delivered in partnership with a BTEC national diploma level in sport or A-Levels including physical education We look forward to meeting many aspiring young footballers on the evening Monday 8th April 10am-12: Trial date – Mayfield Astro: Leyton Orient and the staff at Mayfield School are pleased to invite you to our Open Trial This will be a chance for prospective sixth form pupils to show their attitude and commitment to the programme There will be a further chance to meet staff from both the club and school and get a feel for the type of football sessions you will be completing on the programme Successful pupils will receive offers of a place on the programme starting September 2019
