double passages: 20 questions) n h in triv ie t I o m MOZILGE Listening Comprehension - 10 picture-based questions (Q l-10) - There is a 25-second Direction for the whole Listening Section and a 70-second Direction for Part 1, which makes a total of minute and 35 seconds beíore question begins - There is a 5-second pause b e tw e e n every two questions - At the end of one page, you will hear the direction “ Go on to the next page.” The elapsing time between that point to the next question on a new page is 12 seconds During this time, you should look ahead at the next pictures on the new pages - You should mark your answers directly on the answer sheet while you are listening to the questions - 30 questions ( Q ll-4 ) - There is a 1-minute Direction for Part - There is a 5-second pause betw een every two questions - Approximately 10-15 questions begin with WH- (what, when, who, why, how, which, where) - Since the question íormat remains much the same throughout Part 2, testtakers tend to lose concentration starting from questions 35-40 It is essential that you practice a n sw e r in g all th e s e q u e stio n s in o n e s e s s io n w ith o u t b rea k in g th e m in several chunks - If y o u are n o t sure o f any o n e q u e stio n , ju st skip it and c o n c e n tr a te on th e n e x t o n e - You should mark your ansvvers directly on the answer sheet while you are listening to the questions - 30 questions based on 10 conversations (Q 41-70) - There is a 30-second Direction for Part - Each conversation is folIowed by questions read to testtakers - After a question is read, testtakers have seconds to answer it before they hear the next one - The conversations in Part are longer than those in the old TOEIC as they have the format A-B-A-B instead of the shorter one A-B-A wwwnhantnvipt rom Structure of the test - q u e stio n s b a se d o n lis te n in g p a ssa g es ( Q -1 0 ) - There is a 28-second Direction for Part - Each lis te n in g p a ssa g e is fo llo w ed by q u e stio n s read to te stta k er s - A fte r a q u e stio n is read, te stta k e r s have seconds to a n sw er it b e ío r e th e y hear th e n e x t o n e - Each listening passage is about 100-120 words, and is read in 25-35 seconds - For Part , it is w ise r for y o u to m ark your an sw ers on th e q u e stio n b o o k le t an d tr a n síe r th e m to the ansvver sheet at the end of the Listening Section Reading Comprehension „ Ị - q u e s tio n s (Q 1 -1 ) - A m o n g th e s e are: 1 -1 q u e stio n s o n vocabulary; - q u e stio n s o n w ord fo rm s a n d - questions on grammar - The length of each question is about 12-20 vvords - If y o u c a n n o t a n sw e r a certa in q u e stio n in se c o n d s, m ark it w ith an a ster isk and p r o c e e d to the next one, then review it later when transíerring your answers to the answer sheet - For Part , it is w ise r for y ou to m ark your a n sw ers on th e q u e stio n b o o k le t an d tr a n síe r th e m to the answer sheet about minutes before th e end of the Reading Section - 12 questions (Q 141-152) in reading passages (3 questions for each passage) - Although the questions are embedded in the reading passages, they are similar in nature with t h o s e in Part an d sh o u ld n o t create an y sp ecial p ro b le m s to te stta k e r s o n ce th e y are u se d to dealing with questions in the previous part - As w ith Part , y o u sh o u ld m ark you r a n sw ers o n th e q u e stio n b o o k let a n d tra n sfer th e m to the answer sheet about minutes before the e n d of the Reading Section - 48 questions (Single Passages: Q153-180;
