1. Warm up: 5’ Slap the board

-Write some words on the board:

read, listen, write, music, dog, cat, parrot, like, love, room, kite, ship, how many, cat, goldfish, pet

- Choose 2 pupils to the front of the class

- Explain the rule of game: When T calls out a word and the pupils should be fast as possible to slap the word.

Who can slap the correct word, will get a point. The pupil with the highest number is the winner

2.Look, listen and repeat: 10’

- Tell pupils that they are going to talk about indoor activities

- Ask Ps to look at the pictures and elicit the characters and what they are talking about

- Have the class repeat the text in the bubbles a few times

- Have Ps listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles

- Play the recording again for Ps to

- Prepare some words: sing, draw, play, watch, listen, read, play

- Divide the class into 2 groups

- Show the first group a word. They must act it out. If the second team can guess the correct word, the group gets a point.

- Switch the teams and let the second team act out a word while the first guesses

- Play the CD and have Ps repeat each line of the chant. Then change the role.

- Focus Ps’ attention on the letters colored differently in the words reading and drawing

- Introduce the sounds /ea/ and / aw/

- Play the CD and have Ps read the chant in chorus.

- Do choral repetition of the words and sentences until Ps feel confident

- Call some Ps to read the sentences aloud
