Activities I- Listening A Listening The 3Rs Club is looking for a new Ex1: Ss read the rubric of the first president Listen to two students talking activity about what they will if they become - Ss guess the word/ number to fill the president of the club Put the words in each blank and write their or a number in each blank to complete guesses on the board the table - Play the recording and ask Ss to 6A listen to check their guesses recycling - Ss work in pairs to compare their saving lights answers book - T play the recording the second 6E time for pairs to check their bus answers gardening - Ask for Ss’ answers and write uniform them on the board next to their Write T( True) or ( Fasle) guesses F F T F T Ex2: Ss read the statements in exercise and write T/F at the end of each statement without listening to the II- Writing recording If they have any difficulty * Study Skill- Writing (2) doing this, play the recording again Have students compare their answers in pairs before giving T the answers Write Ss’ answers on the board - Play the recording one last time to confirm the answers for both ex1,2 B Writing Ex3: Ss work in pairs and interview each other to find out the three things they will di if they become the club president Ask Ss to take notes about each other’s ideas by explainingthe idea or giving examples - Have Ss present their friend’s ideas or write the ideas on the board Ex4: Ss write their paragraph individually based on the suggestions on the book Ask one S to write the paragraph on the board Other Ss and T comment on the paragraph on the board Then T collects some writings to correct at home - Alternatively, ask Ss to work in groups and choose the three best ideas to write about Give each group a large piece of paper to write their paragraph Ask one or two groups to stick their product on the board Other Ss and T give comments Ss copy their group’s paragraph into their notebooks and revise as homework Homework - Complete the writing - Do exercise in workbook - Prepare : looking back and project Adjustment: Connectors are phrases or words used to link one idea to another There are many kinds of connectors Firstly, secondly, next, then, finally, etc… are used to show a sequence Interview a classmate Ask him/ her what three things he/she will if he/ she becomes the president of the 3Rs club Take note below Name: Idea 1: Idea 2: Idea 3: Write about your classmate’s ideas in Do you think your classmate will be a good club president His / her name and class Idea 1+ explaination/ examples Idea 2+ explaination/ examples Idea 3+ explaination/ examples Will he/ she be a good club president?
