(1)Week: 20 Period: 58 Date of preparation: 04/01/2013 Date of teaching: 07/01/2013 UNIT 9: THE BODY SECTION A: PARTS OF THE BODY LESSON 1: A1, I OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer about the part of the body II PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures, cassette III PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (5’) Matching - Have Ss play the game STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES - Play the game - Introduce the lesson - Listen 2/ Presentation: (13’) - Introduce vocabulary I Vocabulary: Head Shoulder Arm Chest Leg Finger Hand foot Toe - Read vocabulary - Ask the way to change singular nouns to plural nouns II Structure: A shoulder two shoulders A foot two feet - Listen and take note - Practice - Remind, listen and copy N N(s/es) 3/ Practice: (15’) - Hang on the picture, make up questions What is this/that? What are these? - Answer the questions It’s his head They are his hands (2) - Ask Ss to practice with a partner to ask and answer about the parts of the body 4/ Production: (7’) “Guessing Game” - Divide the class into two groups The teacher gives an explanation and a question and two groups must say the correct part If which group makes more correct answers, it will win 1) It is on the top of the body What is it? 2) They are at the end of your legs What are they? 3) It is between your arms What is it? 4) They are on your hands?
