(1)Week : 14 Period: 41 Date of preparation: 23/11/2012 Date of teaching: 26/11/2012 UNIT 7: MY NEIGHBORHOOD GETTING STARTED LESSON 1: LISTEN AND READ I OBJECTIVES: Educational aim: Help students love their neighborhood Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about the places in their neighborhood, understand how to use the Present perfect tense with “Since & For” II PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures III PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (8’) STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES - Show pictures about places in the neighborhood I Getting started: - Observe and match a grocery d drug store store e hairdresser’s b stadium f swimming c wet pool market - Lead to the lesson - Listen 2/ Presentation: (15’) - Set the scene: Nam and Na are talking about the place where they live But Na is new there - Introduce vocabulary: II Listen and read: Vocabulary: Neighborhood (n) serve (v): pancake (n): tasty (adj): = delicious try (v): Close by (phrv): - Introduce grammar note: Present Perfect tense Present perfect tense: - Listen - Listen and guess the meaning, then take note - Copy down (2) @ Form: S + HAVE / HAS + V P.P @ Usage: To describe an action that began in the past and still is progress at present time Ex: How long have you been / lived here?
