1 Warm – Up: (5’)

- Chat with students: Ask students to look at the four pictures on page 10 and talk about the activities they

want to after school or in their free time (play soccer / read books / play chess / play volleyball) - Ask questions

1 What are these students doing?

2 What time of the day you think it is? Do you play soccer (after school)? When you play soccer?

5 Who you like to play with?

- Have students work in pairs to ask and answer about the pictures

2 Presentation: (10’)

- Introduce the lesson”Hoa is talking to Lan about Nien, her next-neighbor in Hue”

- Ask some questions about Nien Where does Nien live?

2 How old is she?

3 Is she Hoa’s classmate? Is she beautiful?

- Get feedback

- Explain new words: Seem (v)

3 Practice: (15’) - Play the tape for students

- Ask students to read the dialogue to recheck the pre-reading questions
