Aims: To give the students some words of description people and the simple present tense to talk about the general truths

Objectives: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to describe people and use the simple present to talk about the general truths

Skills: Speaking, Reading, Listening Teaching aids: pictures of people, poster Languages:

Grammar: “He is short and slim and has short black hair.”

Vocabulary: slim, slender, curly, bald, dark, blonde, fair, fair complexion, straight

II. PRE-READING:

1. Pre-teach vocabulary :

- slim /slim/ = thin /in/ = slender /'slend/ (adj): ốm, mãnh mai, gay

- curly /'kli/ (adj): xoăn, quăn - bald /bld/ (adj): trọc, đầu trọc

- dark /dk/ = black /blk/ (adj): đen, tối - blond(e) /blnd/ (and): vàng hoe (tóc) - fair /fe/ (adj): vàng nhạt (tóc)

- fair complexion /km'plekn/: da traéng - straight /streit/ (adj): thẳng (tóc)

III. WHILE- READING:

1. Picture cues drill: (book pages 11, 12)

- Teacher gives the students some pictures or shows them the pictures, and asks them to describe the pictures

2. Twenty-question game. - Teacher thinks of a student

- Students ask the teacher with Yes/ No questions to find out the one that the Teacher is thinking about The students can ask 20 questions all together

- If the can point out the right student They win the game
