Lesson 4: B In The city (B3) I Objectives:

Through this lesson, students will be able to talk about their favorite activities in the evening.

- Students talk about their favorite activities at night themselves. * Good and excellent students:

- Students as a summary of Hoa, who plays Hoa told of their activities in the evening.

- Vocabulary: socialize (v), regularly (adv), rarely (adv), cost nothing, after all (adv),

- Grammar: + prefer / like + to - infinitive + like + gerund

b- Checking absence: Who’s absent today? 2 Checking up the previous knowledge (5 minutes): (can omit)

- Introduces and let Ss play a game “Crosswords” with teams (in minutes) (Uses Microsoft power point)

- Introduces new lesson: (- The last period you knew about the living in the city / countryside - Was the village quite, fresh air, little traffic?

- Does the city have a little traffic?

- Lan said the Hoa would get used to the life in the city soon right or wrong After reading the text you can answer the questions.)

2 VOCABULARY:

- Explain the meaning of new words

- Reads each word form (Uses Microsoft power point) * Checking vocabulary:

- Uses the technique “Rub out and remember”

- Corrects

2 STRUCTURES:

- Take notes and play game “Crosswords” with teams

- Listen to teacher

- Write the title of the new lesson

- write down in their notebooks

- Give the meaning of word by word

- Repeat after the teacher - Repeat vocabulary in chorus, in group and in individual

WHILE – READING

- Asks Ss to listen to the tape (twice)

- Read the passage after me! - Who can read the passage? - Now you make a list of the things Hoa usually does in the evening (4 groups of 7) ( in minutes)

-Who can read your writing? - Give them answer

- Who can read again?

- Asks Ss to base on Hoa’s favorite activities in the evening Then talk about their favorite activities in the evening

POST – READING

(7 minutes)

- Asks Ss to base on a list of the things Hoa does in the evening Make a mind map about Hoa’s favorite activities in the evening in groups of (in minutes) - Lets groups hang on the board and groups remark each other - Corrects
