Avidia comes in a variety of chassis sizes to meet the needs of multiple applications. The Avidia 8000 is suited for large CO deployment, and the Avidia 3000 is geared towards digital loop concentrator and multi-tenant unit deployment. Splitters/Microfilters ADC is pioneering G.lite technology, which as “splitterless” DSL, eliminates the need for service providers to install external splitters to separate a POTS voice signal from the ADSL signal on a shared line. Eliminating the so-called “truckroll” holds the promise of spurring the deployment of DSL services, but in some cases, analog devices such as phones and fax machines may interfere with the G.lite signal operating on a shared line.
