(1)Unit 6: An excursion Lesson - Reading
I Objectives:
1 Education aim: Understand the letter about the beauty spots in Vietnam such as: Thay pagoda, Huong pagoda in the North of Vietnam
2 Knowledge:
- General knowledge: Guessing meaning in the context, passage comprehension - Language: Vocabulary comprehension : matching
Skills: Scanning for specific information Use the new words which relate to the topic in speaking, asking and answering activities
II Method: Mainly communicative.
III Teaching aids: Pictures showing parts of the equipments of computers Extra board
IV Procedure:
Teacher's Activities Students' Activities Warm up (4 mn)
- Make some questions: (Write on the blackboard or speak out)
1 Suggestions for types of vacation. + What activities you like doing when you have a few days off?
2 Can you know to use this machine?
- Ask students to work in pair
- Check and write the answers on the blackboard
Lead in the new lesson: Special education Pre-reading (7 mn)
- Ask sts to work in pair to make a guess the name of some places in the pictures - Ask sts to work in pair
- Go round and help
Task 1: Answer the following questions: - Write the questions on the blackboard and read aloud
1 What people use the computer for? What can be other purposes of using computers in the future?
