Lesson 3

I Aims.

1/Knowledge.

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read and say the three Ee words correctly

-Recognize and say an extra Ee word correctly 2 Skill: Listening, writing , speaking and reading. 3 Attitude.

- Educate Ss to be friendly with friends - Students love animals with the letter a II.Teaching aids:

T: teachers’ book, CD, phonics cards ,paper including the lyrics of the chant Ss: Student’s book, colour, Activity book.

III Teaching method: MAT, TPA. IV/ Procedure

2.Warm up ( 5’) -Greet students

-Review the previous lesson by playing the “Form a line game”

-Put up the phonics cards on the board -Have student volunteers

-Hand out the pieces of paper to the students

-A teacher says: Form a line; then the students line up in front of the board in the same order as the phonics cards

-Repeat the procedure with another group of students -Give feedback

3 New lesson ( 30’ )

-Ask ss to point letter /e/ in the word ant

and point to the picture of egg Do the same with elf and elephant.

-Ask ss to listen the story and point to the picture of key words when they hear them in the story

- Ss: listen and repeat - Ss: work individually

- Ss work in pairs ,one read and one check - Correct their mistakes

- Ask ss point to the sight word.Ss listen and repeat and read aloud

* Activity (10’)

- Put up the egg, elf, elephant phonics card on board

- Ask ss to point the egg and say tickety ,tickety, tock-Do the same with the rest of the song

- Play the CD and ask Ss to listen and sing - Ss: listen and repeat

- Ss: work individually and pairs

- Ask ss to take out the egg, elf, elephant

picture cards and put them on the desk - Play the CD and ask Ss listen and hold up the corresponding card

- Ss: work in groups - Corrects

*Activity : Write the words (6’) - Ss write the words they’ve learnt in the lesson

- Calls some Ss go to the board and write down

- Ss: work individually

- T monitors and correct their mistakes 4.Consolidation:( 5’)

- T asks whole class to sing the song at home

Lesson 4 I.Aims.

1/Knowledge.

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to review the sound of the letter Ee, four Ee words and recognize the corresponding pictures

Write the letter Ee

2 Skill: Listening, writing , speaking and reading. 3 Attitude.

- Educate Ss to be friendly with friends - Students love animals with the letter a II.Teaching aids:

T: teachers’ book, , CD, phonics cards ,paper including the lyrics of the chant

Ss: Student’s book, colour Activity book. III Teaching method: MAT, TPA.

2.Warm up ( 5’) Greet the students

-Revision of the previous lessons through ‘Jump game’

-Put a line of masking tape on the floor and designate one side True and the other False

- Hold up a phonics card, e.g egg and say: egg Then students jump on the True side

- Hold up another phonics card, e.g elf and say: ant Then students jump on the False side

3 New lesson ( 30’ )

-Point to the letters and revise the sounds -Explain the activity

-Play the CD

- Ss: look at the letter listen and tick - Ss: work individually and pairs

-Ask students to listen and tick the correct letter sound

-Go around and provide any necessary help

Activity 2: Mime the Word(5mins) -Ask students to stand at their desks -Say the word, e.g It’s an elephant

-The students repeat and perform a simple action, e.g Students say It’s an elephant and mime being elephants for a few seconds - Ss: work individually

- Corrects

* Activity 3(10mins)

-Show the students the elbow phonics card Point to it and say: /e/ - elbow. Ask them to repeat

- Ss: listen and repeat

- Ss: work individually and pairs

-Do action like elbow and say /e/, elbow

-Encourage the students to the same -Say the letter and ask students the action -Play the CD

-Ask students listen, point to and repeat the word

- Ss: work individually

-Point to pictures and have students name them
