(1)PHẦN I: ĐẶT VẤN ĐỀ Từ đồng nghĩa (synonyms) và trái nghĩa (antonyms) xếp vào phần từ vựng tiếng Anh Theo cấu trúc đề thi tốt nghiệp trung học phổ thông quốc gia các câu hỏi trắc nghiệm có liên quan đến phần này chiếm khoảng 15% (khoảng 10 câu trên tổng số 64 câu trắc nghiệm bao gồm phần hỏi đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa riêng, và số câu đồng nghĩa các bài đọc hiểu) Bên cạnh đó, từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa còn giúp ích nhiều phần viết luận, đọc hiểu đề thi Tuy vậy, phần kiến thức này chưa thường xuyên dạy và ôn tập các phần từ vựng khác Trong quá trình giảng dạy, tôi đã áp dụng dạy từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa song song với việc dạy từ vựng tất các tiết học và thu hiệu bước đầu Thứ nhất, học sinh chú ý đến từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa Bất học từ nào, các em cố gắng tìm từ, cụm từ cách nói đồng nghĩa trái nghĩa nó, có Thứ hai, vốn từ vựng các em tăng lên nhanh chóng Thứ ba, các em đạt kết cao với các câu hỏi từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa các đề thi Từ kinh nghiệm thân mình, tôi chọn chuyên đề “Dạy lồng ghép từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa vào các bài học SGK Tiếng Anh lớp 12 và thiết kế số bài tập từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa” để chia sẻ hội nghị chuyên đề ôn thi tốt nghiệp trung học phổ thông Quốc Gia vòng cụm năm học 2015-2016 Do còn hạn chế kiến thức và thời gian, tôi giới hạn chuyên đề mình với việc dạy và thiết kế bài tập đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa với ba bài đầu tiên sách giáo khoa Tiếng Anh lớp 12 Nội dung chính chuyên đề bao gồm phần sau đây: I Khái niệm từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa II Một số nguyên tắc dạy từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa III Thiết kế số dạng bài tập từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa IV Một số bài tập trắc nghiệm từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa các đề thi THPT Quốc Gia PHẦN II: NỘI DUNG I Khái niệm từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa I Từ đồng nghĩa ©Copyright Do Binh – Lien Son High School – Lap Thach – Vinh Phuc - www.violet.vn/quocbinh72 Page Lop10.com (2) Theo từ điển ngôn ngữ, từ đồng nghĩa là từ có nghĩa giống gần giống Từ đồng nghĩa chia làm hai loại là đồng nghĩa hoàn toàn và đồng nghĩa không hoàn toàn Loại thứ là từ có nghĩa hoàn toàn giống nhau, dùng và có thể thay cho hầu hết các trường hợp Loại thứ hai Là các từ cùng nghĩa khác phần nào sắc thái biểu cảm (biểu thị cảm xúc, thái độ …) cách thức hành động Khi dùng từ này, ta phải cân nhắc lựa chọn cho phù hợp 1.2 Từ trái nghĩa Từ trái nghĩa là từ có nghĩa trái ngược Tương tự từ đồng nghĩa, chúng ta có hai loại từ trái nghĩa là trái nghĩa hoàn toàn và trái nghĩa không hoàn toàn Từ các khái niệm nêu trên có số điểm chúng ta cần phải lưu ý sau: Cho dù các từ coi là đồng nghĩa trái nghĩa hoàn toàn, chúng có khác biệt và không thể dùng thay cho trường hợp Chính vì vậy, bên cạnh việc dạy và học nghĩa từ, chúng ta cần phải chú ý đến ngữ cảnh đó các từ đồng nghĩa hay trái nghĩa có thể dùng II Một số nguyên tắc dạy từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa Do hạn chế mặt thời gian, tôi đưa phần này số nguyên tắc dạy từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa mà tôi đã áp dụng và nhận thấy có hiệu Nguyên tắc thứ nhất: Mọi hướng dẫn giáo viên tiết, rõ ràng, có mục đích cụ thể Nếu hướng dẫn không cụ thể và chung chung, học sinh không biết cách thực nhiệm vụ mình và nhiệm vụ dễ thất bại Quan trọng phần này là việc hướng dẫn học sinh tìm nguồn tài liệu để tra cứu từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa và các cách tra cứu nhanh, hiệu Nguồn tài liệu chính là các từ điển Anh-Anh và từ điển chuyên từ đồng nghĩa, trái nghĩa Học sinh có thể tra cứu từ điển in từ điển trên mạng Internet Cách tra cứu nhanh từ ghép không có từ điển là tra cứu từ gốc, xác định nghĩa từ cùng các tiền tố, hậu tố nó Nguyên tắc thứ hai: Lấy học sinh làm trung tâm, mạnh dạn giao việc cho các nhóm học sinh tự tìm hiểu từ đồng nghĩa, trái nghĩa các bài học cụ thể Nguyên tắc này giúp học sinh chủ động, tích cực tham gia vào bài học đồng thời giúp phát triển kĩ làm việc theo nhóm và kĩ thuyết trình họ Giao việc tìm hiểu từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa bài học nào đó cho học sinh khiến cho học sinh phải động não, tích cực bắt tay vào nhiệm vụ và nhờ đó chủ động ghi nhớ các từ ©Copyright Do Binh – Lien Son High School – Lap Thach – Vinh Phuc - www.violet.vn/quocbinh72 Page Lop10.com (3) vựng Công việc giao theo nhóm học sinh giảm bớt áp lực Bên cạnh đó, học sinh có thể hỗ trợ và giúp đỡ lẫn để hoàn thành nhiệm vụ Phần thuyết trình có thể nói tiếng Việt tiếng Anh tùy theo lựa chọn các nhóm giúp phát triển kĩ trình bày vấn đề Nguyên tắc thứ ba: chú trọng việc theo dõi tiến độ công việc các nhóm, có so sánh đối chiếu và đánh giá kết Việc theo dõi tiến độ công việc nhóm giúp giáo viên đánh giá, nhận xét chính xác kết nhóm Bên cạnh đó, giáo viên có thể kịp thời đưa giúp đỡ phù hợp cho các nhóm gặp khó khăn So sánh, đối chiếu và đánh giá kết nhóm học sinh chí học sinh nhóm tạo thêm động lực để các em cố gắng hoàn thành nhiệm vụ mình Nguyên tắc thứ tư: giáo viên giữ vai trò chính việc tổng hợp, chỉnh sửa, bổ xung kết các nhóm Sau kết các nhóm đã đánh giá, chúng cần tổng hợp, chỉnh sửa và bổ xung đầy đủ trước giáo viên trả sản phẩm cuối cùng cho học sinh Đây là giai đoạn giáo viên giữ vai trò chính để đảm bảo cung cấp kiến thức đầy đủ và chính xác cho học sinh mình Nguyên tắc thứ năm: kiểm tra, nhận xét và đánh giá thường xuyên việc cá nhân học sinh sử dụng kiến thức từ đồng nghĩa, trái nghĩa đã học vào việc nói và viết tiếng Anh Đây chính là nguyên tắc “học đôi với hành”, nhằm khuyến khích học sinh sử dụng kiến thức đã có các kĩ sản sinh ngôn ngữ là nói và viết Việc này phải tiến hành thường xuyên để tạo thành thói quen việc sử dụng ngoại ngữ học sinh III Thiết kế số dạng bài tập từ đồng nghĩa và trái nghĩa Việc thiết kế các dạng bài tập là nhiệm vụ giáo viên thường làm sau phần kiến thức dạy trên lớp Mặc dù nó là công việc thường làm, có số điều chúng ta cần chú ý Một là, việc thiết kế bài tập phải đảm bảo học cái gì thì thực hành và luyện tập cái đó Điều này để đảm bảo tính hiệu bài tập mà chúng ta tạo Hai là, các dạng bài tập thiết kế phải đa dạng, phong phú gồm nhiều cấp độ từ dễ đến khó Việc này giúp phù hợp với các nhóm học sinh khác và tạo hứng thú cho học sinh III.1 Dạng bài tập “Matching” -
