C LISTENING

I.OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this lesson Ss will be able to listen to get specific information about the famous musician of Viet Nam, Van Cao

-Improve Ss’ listening skill

II TEACHING AIDS: Text book, cassette player

III.PROCEDURE:

1-Settlement: Greeting the class & checking students’ attendance 2-Checking: Asking Ss to make the dialogue about the music

3- New lesson: Lesson3: LISTENING

PRE-LISTENING

Activity 1: Talk about Van Cao

-T asks Ss to look at the picture on page on 127and tell the class anything they know about Vancao

-T reads the names of the songs on page 128 loud Whenever -T speaks out a song name ,Ss say whether it is of Vancao’s or not

-If the song not one by Vancao , T asks Ss if they know who wrote that song

-T asks Ss to give more information about Tien Quan Ca

-T asks ss to work in groups to complete a network with the word “ musician “ as quickly as possible T can print this handout one copy to each group

-The 1st group to produce the correct and complete network will be the winner

-Look at the picture and talk about him

- Expected answer

+ sweet and gentle(adj) : ngào nhẹ nhaøng -T asks ss to repeat them in chorus

WHILE-LISTENING TASK1:TRUE OR FALSE

-Before listening , T asks Ss to read through the sentences to understand clearly

- Ss give the prediction for the sentences

- Play the tape three times and pay attention keywords - T calls on some ss to give the correct answer

-Feedback

TASK2: ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS

-T asks ss to read the questions first and answer them -If not, T plays the tape again

- Calls on some Ss to answer and give explanation -T checks and gives feedback
