Lesson plan grade 3 Unit 1: Hello

Lesson 1 Period 2 Week 1

Time:35-40 minutes I. Overview

1 Objectives: By the end of the period, students will be able to improve their skills

 Listening: identify picture from the different characters

 Writing: write how to ask and answer questions about one’s name

2 Topic – Language target:

 Vocabulary: seen previously.  Sentence patterns: seen previously.

3 Teaching methods: communicative approach and other methods Teaching aids:

 Teacher: Teacher’s book, class book, puppets, CD and CD player  Students: Student’s book, Workbook, notebook and other school

things

II. Procedure

To revise what students learned in last lesson

- Call some students to go to the board in order to greet others and

students to listen and point to the picture - Play the CD 2nd for

students to listen and tick the right pictures - Have the students

change their books to their partner

- Call students to go to the board to

3 Let’s write (9 minutes)

To improve students’ writing about greet and respond to the greetings

- Have students look at part 5: Let’s write - Give stuents a few

seconds to read the texts in silence

- Check comprehension and give feedback
