UNIT 13: WHERE’S MY BOOK ?

LESSON

: PART 1,2,3

Class : 4A, 4B

I Aim: By the end of the lesson,Ss will be able to ask and answer questions about the location

of things in the house II.Language contents:

a.Vocabulary: poster, bed, chair, picture, coat, ball

b.Sentence pattern: Where's my book? It's here On the chair/ It's there On the table

c Skill: listening , speaking and writing III.Techniques: slap the board

IV Resource and teaching aids: - Resource: Book page 18

- Teaching aids: Cassette, pictures, extra paper V.Procedure:

1 Warm-up( minutes)

-Spend a few minutes to revise structure : Is there a…….?

Yes, there is / No, there isn’t 2 Presentation:(10 minutes) T explain the new words

- poster (picture): Áp phích - bed (picture): giường - chair (picture): ghế tựa - picture (translation): tranh - coat (explanation): áo khoác - ball (picture): trái banh

* Game: Slap the board

@ Explain sentence pattern: Where's my book? It's here On the chair/ It's there On the table

3 Practice:(13 minutes)

1- Look, listen and repeat (page 18)

- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking - Play the recording for ss to listen and say along

@Grammar : Where’s the + Danh từ ( số ít)?

Ex: Where’s the bed? 2 - Point and say.

- Tell pupils that they are going to asking and answering the question Where’s the + Danh từ ( số ít)?

Give a few seconds for ss to look at the first picture and read the text Teach the new vocabulary and have ss repeat each of the words a few times Point to picture a and prompt ss to say the question and answer Put the questions and answer on the board and have ss repeat each of them a few times Repeat the procedure with the remaning pictures

- Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book - Get pupils to practise in pairs Check as a class

4 Personalization:(6 minutes) 3- Let's talk (page 18)

- Tell pupils that they are going to practise more with their friends Give a few seconds for pupils to look at the picture and read the text Check comprehension and give feedback Point to a room and elicit the word filling the gap Put the sentence and the response on the board and have a pair act out the dialogue as an example before starting the activity

- Have pupils work in pairs, using the picture in the book Go around to offer help and correct the pronunciation, if necessary

- Call some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class 5 Homework:(1 minute)

- Learn by heart: New words and sentence - Prepare: Unit 13(cont): Lesson page 19 VI.Comments:

- Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Write the correct answers on the board for pupils to copy down into their notebooks - Call a few pairs to read the completed sentences aloud
