- To consolidate the sound of the letters that they’ve learned from unit to unit 13 - Learn and practice reading skills

- To check their speaking for the second term test - Skill: listening, speaking, reading, writing

Vocabulary Revision: Watch, well, window, watermelon, vase, van, violet, ox, taxi, box, yo – yo, yatch, yellow, zip, zebra, zero.

1 Listen and repeat - Click part

- T points to and elicit the sound of each letter and the picture

- T plays the CD and asks Ss to listen, point and repeat the letters

2 Song

- Click on part

- T write the letters A, B, C, D on the board and asks Ss to repeat

- T play the Cd Ss listen and sing along - T asks Ss to takes out their own Vv – Zz picture cards and place them on their desks

- T plays the CD again and asks Ss hold up the corresponding pictures cards

3 Speaking test:

Activities: How’s your memory?

- Write the words the students have learnt so far on the board Give the students minutes to remember the words Erase them

- Divide the class into small teams - Ask them write down the words in minutes

- Then put teams’ lists up the board

B New lesson

1 Play game

- T puts card on the board and ask them to line up at the front of the class in the same order as the phonics cards - T devide Ss into group of Red and Blue

- T explains how to play this game - T lets Ss play together
