Activity: Guess” game
- T divide class into two teams, A and B
- Ask a student from either teamto come to the board
- Whisper one of the target vocabulary words to the student - Without speaking, the student does the actions
- The first team to guess the word wins a point - Repeat as many as necessary

- T devides Ss into teams, A and B and put one of the phonics cards on the board
- T ask Ss from Team A to identify the sound (1 point), the picture (1 point), or both (2 points)
- Continue with a student from Team B - T monitors and prides the winner

- T point to pictures and have students name them
- T name some colours and ask Ss to repeat - T ask Ss to colour the pictures which have Cc in them
- T gives minutes to colour in the ‘cat’ and ‘carrot’ Go around the classroom providing any necessary help
Activity: Hunt The Cards Game(7’)
- T divides Ss into two teams and - T hide the phonics cards around the classroom
- T write the following for each team: -cat, carrot2 - clock, car
- Ss in each team have to ‘hunt’ for the phonics cards of their team
- T play the song (Track 18) from lesson The first team to find all their words before the end of the song is the winner

- Have some students practice tracing letter C on the board
- T ask Ss to trace letter C in the books - Students say after each finished letter - T go around to give help if necessary

(4)- T copy the boxes from the book to the board and put the phonics card of bed up between them - T tells Ss that you are going to write the letter Aa, Bb and Cc into the box
- Demonstrate the writing
- T draw linesto the correct pictures that correspond to each letter
- T go around the classroom and providing any necessary help
Activity 3: Write the letter Cc Colour the right pictures that start with the c sound (7’)
- T show the phonics cards one by one For example, show the card with cat, but incorrectly say carrot or car, the students should stand; if the words are correctly said, they should stay sitting
- Do the same procedure for the other cards - T ask Ss to write the letter Cc in the box
- T ask Ss name pictures and colour the pictures that start with the c sound
- T go around and give help as needed
