- Learn and practise reading skills Vocabulary: fork

- Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary II Teaching aids:

- Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant III Method:

- Model – Talk - Practice, individual work, pairs work, group work - Some techniques can be used: Craftwork Mime the Word

Activity:Matching game

- Put up the fox, fish, and frog phonics cards on the board - Write the words in a column in random order

- Ask individual Ss come to the board and match by drawing lines 3 New lesson

Activity Circle the right letters (10’) - T point to the letters, name the items and revise the sounds

- T ask Ss to look at the pictures and circle the right letters

Activity: Sound and Word (5’)

- Divide students into teams, A and B - Put one of the phonics cards on the board - T ask Ss from Team A to identify the sound (1 point), the picture (1 point), or both (2 points) - Continue with a student from Team B

Activity Listen, point and repeat Colour the pictures of the words that start with the f sound Say the f words (10’)

- Show the students the fork phonics card Point to it and say: /f–fork Ask them to repeat

- Do action like fork and say /f/, fork - Encourage the students to the same

- T say the letter and ask students the action - Play the CD

- T ask Ss to listen, point to and repeat the word

- Point to pictures and have students name them

- Ask Ss to colour the pictures which have Ff in them

- Give Ss minutes to colour in the ‘frog’ and ‘fish’ that have Ffin them

Activity: Craftwork (5’)

- T ask Ss to take out their notebooks

- Ask them to choose one word the draw the letter and the picture in their notebooks

- Tell them to colour the letter and the picture

Activity: Bingo

- Hand Bingo cards out to the students

- Provide them with small pieces of paper to cover the words

- Say the words or show the pictures and have the students cover the words on their Bingo cards

- The winner is the first student whose card is covered and who shouts Bingo! New lesson

Activity Trace and say (Activity Book) (5’) - let’s Ss revision of letter F, its sound - T write on the board the big F and small f - Point to the letter F and say out loud “This is the letter F

- Point to the letter e and say out loud “This is the letter e

- Have the class repeat its sound chorally, then individually

- Have the students say the sound individually, correct the pronunciation if necessary

Activity: How to write letter F (5’)

- Demonstrate how to write the big F by stroke - Draw an example of letter F using dashed lines

- Use a different colored chalk to model tracing the letter F

- Have some students practice tracing letter F on the board

- Have students trace letter F in the books - Students say after each finished letter - Go around to give help if necessary Activity 2: Trace and match (5’)

- Tell the students that you are going to write the letter Cc, Ee and Ff into the box

- T demonstrate the writing

- Draw linesto the correct pictures that correspond to each letter

Activity 3: Which one begins with the f sound? Write (10’)

- Show up the phonics cards one by one For example, show the card withfox, but incorrectly say fish or frog, the students should stand; if the words are correctly said, they should jump up - Do the same procedure for the other cards - Ask the students to name pictures

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and write Ff under the ones whose names begin with the f sound

- Ask the students to name pictures

- Ask the students to look at the pictures and circle the correct words

- Go around and provide any necessary help
