+ Vocabulary: tiring, exhausted, chewing gum, chew, swallow, litter + Grammar: “The past simple tense” and “Imperatives”

2 Skills: Practice speaking and writing.

3.Attitude: Educate students should take part in useful sports and games to keep fit 4.Competence: ss can use “The past simple tense” and “Imperatives”.

+ Use: We use the past simple tense to talk about a finished action in the past We often say when it happened

+ Intonation:

* Activity 1: Gap - fill: ( Part p 19)

- T shows the poster which has the content of part p 19 then runs through - T gives the instructions: Use did, was, or were to fill in the blanks.

- T models one: were - T checks Ss’ understanding

- Ss individually then compare with their partners - T gets Ss’ answers then corrects

- T shows the interlocked rings and asks what they represent T explains to Ss that the rings represent the major regions of the world ( Africa, the America, Asia, Europe and Oceania ) and every national flag in the world has at least one of the five coluors ( blue, yellow, black, green, and red )

- T shows the poster with the questions on the board then runs through How many players are there in a football match?

2 How long does a football match last? How often are the Olympic Games held? Were there Olympic Games in 2011? How long is a marathon?

3.Attitude: educate students should take part in useful sports / games to keep fit and

educate them to love the subject more
