(2)Step 1: Pre - reading
- Today, we are going to read a dialogue about how to express interest Let's start with some new words
- Elicit words from sts Pre- teach
- Something such as grain, rice , fruit … is grown in one season
- It is used to make sugar - (traslation)
- The drive takes 40 minutes It 's a forty-minute drive
- Ask sts to notice that a plural noun must be chaged to the singular form when preceding the noun it modifies in a noun phrase
- Have sts drill some more: ( oral => writing)
- Sts listen
- Listen and repeat (chorally then individually)

2 Guiding questions:
- Set the scene and put the chart with questions on the board
- Ask Ss to think about the questions in a few minutes
- Have Ss listen to the tape while reading the dialogue
- Get Ss to work in pairs to answer the questions
- Call on some pairs to give their answers

- Ask Ss to listen to the tape and say out True or False
- Read the sentences aloud and call on some Ss to answer , then have them
