* Warm up(5’): Slap the board - T introduces the rules of this game
- T writes the words nut, net, nest on the board. - T divides whole class into teams of Ss
- T says that objects in Vietnamese for Ss slap The person who slap the right word first will get one point for his/her team

- T checks points of each team to find the winner - Whole class congratulates
* Presentation and Practice:
1 Listen, point and repeat Colour (15’) (Track 2):
- Introduction of letter O, its sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Oo
- Use a card and instruct Ss how to pronounce the letter name and the letter sound
- Repeat several times and check Ss’ pronunciation
- Use the phonics cards with olive, orange, octopus read the words out loud and ask Ss to repeat
- Use gestures (hand actions) to help Ss to understand the meanings of the three words

- Call some Ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes (if any)

- Put the phonics cards of olive, orange, octopus on the board - Ask Ss to memorize the order of these cards
- Ask Ss to close their eyes, T removes one phonic card randomly and asks individual Ss to name it
- Continue changing the order cards
- Remember to correct Ss’ pronunciation throughout the lesson 2 Practice:
- Ask Ss to use their private board
- Say aloud one word and Ss will rewrite for many times then the same with others
- Ask Ss to listen to the T and rewrite the words by themselves - Check and correct mistakes

- Say out the words tin Vietnamese then ask Ss to recall in English words
- Call Ss to go to the board and write - Check and correct
- Elicit to the new lesson * Presentation and Practice: 1 Listen and point Choose(15’)
- Point to the “olive” and say: This is an olive
- Ask the Ss to repeat then the same with “orange, octopus” - Play the CD then ask Ss to listen and point to the items
- Say: “This is an olive” then have Ss point to the corresponding items
- Let Ss to look at the pairs of pictures on the side and choose the correct one for each
- Go around the classroom asking Ss to name the items - Check and correct mistakes

- Using the phonics cards and line up the Ss into teams - Give the first Ss of each team a phonics card and say “Go” - The Ss say the corresponding words and pass the phonics card over their head to the Ss behind them
- Next, those Ss repeat the word and pass the phonics card between their legs to the Ss behind them
- Continue to pass the phonics card over their heads and between their legs to the last Ss
- Which team hands their phonics card to T and says the word correctly will get one point
- Which team has the most point will be the winner - Continue the game as many times as necessary 2 Chant and show!(10’)
