1 Aims: By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to talk about life and activities in the countryside

2 Practice skill: Listening, reading, writing. 3 The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: Introduce life and activities in the countryside + Advanced knowledge: Speaking about basic characters of the countryside. 4 Basic language:

- Vocabulary: countryside, picnic, buffalo, paddy fields, banyan tree, journey, maize, farmer, snack,

- Structure: - 'wish' + could 5 Attitude:

- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice listening and reading for details, doing some exercises

Chatting about the city or countryside Do you usually to the countryside ?

2 Are you familiar with the countryside life ? Do you like the countryside life ?

4 What activities you see in the countryside ? - Call on some Ss to answers in front of the class - Ask Ss to look at the pictures in the book and introduce “ In today,s lesson , We will study about

countryside Now you work with a partner and take turn to talk about activities in the countryside “

- Call on Ss to answers and correct if necessary - Give the correct answers :

Step 1: Pre – reading (7’)

Introduce the contents of the lesson to Ss Then present some new words :

Elicit – model – Repeat – copy – check - ‘home village ( translation)làng quê - paddy field = rice paddy: ruộng lúa - bamboo forest (n) : explanation rừng tre - banyan tree (n) : Explanation đa - river bank ( picture) bờ sông

* Checking technique : Rub out ad remember - Ask Ss some questions about the countryside : Do you usually come back to the countryside ? When did you last that ?

4 Whom did you get there with ?

5 What did you see on the way to the village ? - Call on some s to demonstrate in the front

- Work in pairs to practice

- Demonstrate in the front

Guess the word- Repeat in chorus and individual - Write down

* Introduce “ Today we will listen and read about

Liz,strip to the countryside with Ba,sfamily”

- Ask Ss to listen and read then decide the statements are true or false

- Write their predictions on the board Step 2. While – reading :(20’)

- Turn on the tape (2 or times )

- Call on Ss to read their answers aloud - Remark and correct mistakes if any - Give correct answers :
