INTRODUCTION Over the years, the Vietnam economy is growing more and more in every field Synonymous with that is the needs of human life increasingly advanced In order to meet and provide the best service for everyone, it requires businesses to strive harder in the process of production and technology investment The development of technology is an indispensable contribution to the country's economy It’s a must-be thing that has to be done to develop and expand the technology in the intergration period We need to put more and more efforts in stepping aside with the world’s economy Because of that reason, I chosed Minh Triet Production And Technology Investment Company to be the place for my graduation internship report This is an enterprise specialized in manufacturing and installing equipments such as air ducts, air valves, air inlets, and air duct accessories With the goal of constantly improving products, improving the quality of customer service and providing the best services and solutions Minh Triet has teams of officials and workers with high professional qualifications, experience and dedication, with modern equipment, high quality ready to meet the rigorous Organizational structure of Minh Triet 1.2 Introduction about the department that you practice I had the opportunity to practice in the company's project department As one of the important parts of the company, the project department contributes a great part to the success of the company Not only does it require a deep understanding of the trading market but also a need for consumers' essential needs so that the company can make successful plans and projects Since the establishment, the project department has always endeavored in perfecting the development of the company with dynamic and creative staffs With the work related to project management, the project department is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of the project development process to ensure that the projects are completed on time, quality assurance Also achieving specific project goals and set goals The basic goal is that the work must be completed on demand and quality guaranteed, within the costs the company has approved, on time and keeping the project scope unchanged Project department has always been doing our best to be able to bring worthy and desirable projects meeting the expectations of the company as well as customers Not only for the development of the company but also for the benefit of our customers With the increasing demand for services, the Every job requires a certain level of expertise So for every new employee to the company will have a lot of difficulties and challenges they face Just like I will have to try hard to learn a lot to be able to adapt to the job as quickly as possible It is a way to show people that you are a keen learner, with a high sense of responsibility It will also make people have a better view of you There are difficulties and mistakes so we can change, develop and improve ourselves I will be able to accumulate experience at work and draw valuable lessons for myself This will help you have a better overview of the work you will and will help you be more successful in the future 2.2.1 The difficulties in internship process As a new member of the team, I had a lot of difficulties getting used to the work as well as the employees of the company As an inexperienced person, I had to ask and learn a lot from my predecessors I find it quite difficult to ask a question because I can bother others because I ask too much There are a number of people who seem both amused and annoyed to teach me This makes it hard for me to learn more as well as easily getting along with the team Communication is an essential ability in every job But it was a big challenge not only for me but also for other interns In a new and more specialized work environment than before, it will be very difficult to be comfortable asking questions for the fear of being judged by people around Everything is more difficult in part because of my timid personality I can hardly get used to the new working environment with people I not know That has hindered a lot during my learning and acquiring knowledge Moreover, it is not too active in implementing and expressing ideas, so there was much discomfort in discussion as well as in group work Because of this personality, I was unable to develop to my full potential The working environment is far different from the lessons in the school so it is difficult to adapt The work that the leader required me to requires a lot of skills This made me feel very pressured I was bewildered and didn't know how to get the job done Because I have absolutely no knowledge of it The problem many interns have to face is time pressure For students who are accustomed to "the night trying to wake up every minute, the morning trying to sleep every second" like me, working and living on a fixed time schedule is really difficult Working means absolutely obeying the rules of the workplace, no longer sleeping or watching movies, playing video games until late at night The company's strict time makes it impossible to adapt in the first week and sometimes you will be punished if you are late 10 Also because of being a intern, the voice is not respected In the eyes of everyone in the company, I'm just an apprentice, so sometimes it is very difficult to speak or give opinions This has greatly restricted self-development in the professional environment Feeling nervous and small when working as a beginner Moreover, it is a working style as well as a highly professional working environment As an intern, I have not had many opportunities to interact with a professional working environment with highly qualified staff This puts me under pressure about whether I can a good job or not Adapting to a working environment took me a lot of time And of course, the initial performance is not good One of the difficult tasks that makes it difficult to complete jobs perfectly is teamwork Some members of the group think that they are good, so they should discuss only those who they think are talented in the group, or put their opinions out without others to participate They think they are doing the right thing and doing the job well without discussing it with the group members As an intern, I always wanted to learn but some couldn't get along with the team and were too conservative about my ideas This has made it difficult not only for me but also for the team members to have a perfect project Receiving other people's ideas or ideas is an effective way for a task or project to be completed more objectively This is also an important factor causing divisions among groups There is no harmony or uniformity of thinking This has made it difficult for a trainee like me to develop my skills because of an uncomfortable and friendly working environment 2.2.2 The lessions A new job is an exciting start, which means you have to integrate into a new working environment, new working conditions, new colleagues and also new jobs And of course, during my internship, in order not to be left behind, I had to try as hard as possible to overcome the difficulties and barriers, in order to become a more competent person Here are some lessons I learned during my internship at the company Create good relationships with friends and colleagues in the company In any company, new recruits often have a certain amount of time to study and get used to 11 the job at the company Therefore, during this time, you are not put too much on the job or personal achievements, so take advantage of it to learn about the company, especially the colleagues who will accompany you in the way to come Even if you are less social with people around, always shy and introverted During this time, overcome yourself, ignore your ego, try to get acquainted with your new colleagues These will be the ones who will give you a better understanding of the company, help you in the apprenticeship process, show you the problems that need to avoid while working in the company, introduce you to get acquainted with many other colleagues Join in for company lunches When you blend in with a group, at that time, people will help you integrate faster They will ask you questions and vice versa you have more conditions to participate in their stories and understand them better There are many interesting things as well as useful advices from those who preceded this will be a great stepping stone for your solid steps later in the company Be friendly with people around you by actively talking, smiling to others, listening to conversations from others to remember people's names - the best way to impress colleagues from the beginning Do not make them think you are unapproachable, nor you overdo it to avoid being thought of as a fake Integrity and cooperation are what new hires need to Only when you get along with everyone in the company, you quickly adapt to new jobs, new environments Creating such an outgoing relationship will surely help you a lot in the process of working at the company both now and in the future As a new employee, if I don't know something, I don't hesitate to ask my superior for help There is absolutely no problem asking questions you don't know Because the superior is someone who has gone through the same thing as himself before he can reach this position So the higher levels will understand my difficulties and be ready to help me get acquainted and overcome them In order to get used to the working environment in the most effective and efficient way, we have to learn and explore by ourselves to adapt and adapt to this new workplace I have to carefully observe the working style and activities of my 12 team room, from the working style, attitude towards my boss, colleagues and the rules and regulations, from saving and cleaning the working room On If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask questions and record information to understand the problem, to avoid making yourself like someone else when doing something inappropriate Observing, listening and asking questions are what you need to keep in mind Do not start the first week of work just by getting to know your colleagues or pouring will be a great opportunity for you to integrate and get close with your colleagues quickly In a new workplace, be friendly with everyone, but don't get drawn into a group At this stage, you don't know enough to stand on one group or another Joining a group can mean being close to people who complain or laziness without even realizing it So, keep your attitude friendly and neutral from any divisions or conflicts in your new workplace Need to observe, communicate more actively, get along with people Consider using words before you communicate Differences in language and culture will largely affect the relationship of colleagues and superiors at work You can refer to some Japanese characteristics such as actively participating in group discussions, praising and communicating in a positive way, or always smiling That is why the people in the company will be willing to help you The biggest challenge when starting a new job is adjusting to your company culture and getting to know your colleagues Therefore, to make this easy, you should take the time to learn about the people you will work with, daily contact, notice the way of talking, how to work, rest time and the enthusiasm affection for activities organized by the company First of all, ask for the phone numbers, 13 contacts of new colleagues who are always happy and willing to help you in the first weeks of work You also not get annoyed and try to help the most when a colleague asks you for something, even though it is a trivial, non-professional job such as asking for the signature of the boss, photo documents acknowledgment of responsibility: A sense of responsibility will help you get the job done and be appreciated CHAPTER 3: CURRENT STATUS OF USING ENGLISH AT INTERNSHIP UNIT 3.1 Describe the current situation of using English As an international language, English is increasingly being emphasized and affirmed an important position in all fields English training places are increasingly popular with high quality human resources to meet the requirements of society in the integration period With the desire to grow widely, the use of English in companies is becoming more and more familiar In order to take your products out, having a foreign language is essential, especially English - the language that is widely used During the 4-week internship at the company, I had the opportunity to work and experience in the company's project department I can see the English usage status of the company In order to best complete the report, I had a survey at the internship So that I can objectively assess the situation of using English at the company In general, the use of English in business communication is not much When using English, people will use it when they need to research commercial markets or international projects And even when meeting with foreign partners, there will be representatives with foreign language ability to discuss In the company, most 15 employees are Vietnamese so people think that communicating in English is not necessary And according to some people, English is used to speak to employees from other countries But mostly speaking simple sentences and not really fluent interpreters or a few others These people specialize in translating documents, documents and projects in English Or is responsible for translating international meetings, negotiations and projects number of people who can use normal English are those who can work with documents in English Can understand basic texts and communication The rest of the company are people who are not good at English accounting for more than half This is a negative number These people are highly qualified employees who are recruited on the basis of job suitability And these positions, the contact with foreigners is not much as well as about communication That is why although the company has a broad development orientation and access to international markets, this department does not focus too much on learning and using English Because of this thought, most people not have any improvement in learning English to improve their level They hold the notion of doing what they have professionally without thinking further about the opportunity for advancement in work for international integration in this period Moreover, in part because of the working environment, some people have the desire to develop their foreign language skills but not have an appropriate 16 environment It is a real environment to practice Learning English can be easy, but there are not many opportunities to listen and communicate in English Because around me, most people use Vietnamese to avoid trouble That is why they not have the opportunity to interact, get acquainted with English and form reflexes in listening and speaking English Here are the main reasons why English is not used so much and why most of the employees are not good at English: Chart 3.1: Reasons of not being good at English Do not read and speak English often Because of the reliance on many translation tools or services, many people not intentionally read English business documents to solve on their own That is why I cannot become familiar with English or acquire knowledge effectively No communication with native speakers This is an important part of the journey to help you speak English well But because of an environment of few foreigners, they cannot communicate or have many opportunities to use English By communicating with native speakers, you will be able to form reflexes faster, become familiar with the intonation of native speakers and make listening easier and speaking better The boring way to learn Anyone who wants to learn what will open a book and learn, but not everyone can stand the boredom Also because of the lack of interest in learning that some people want to learn but no interest Since then, knowledge gained is not much Learning a new language can be difficult, especially when you learn a language that is used worldwide like English It is easy to get bored if you can't adapt to it to the best of your ability Therefore, learning English cannot be smooth without effort and looking for opportunities to advance in the future 3.2 Propose solutions to improve English competency Learning a new language is difficult and can make you feel headache and tired But the effectiveness of being able to communicate in a language other than the mother tongue is important, especially for those who work in an international 17 environment or those who are progressive at work One of the most popular languages spoken in the world today is English For this reason, English communication has become extremely important during this period of international integration But to be good at English is also a matter of concern not only for students but also for working people Learning a foreign language other than the mother tongue is very difficult Interested in learning is an important factor in whether you can acquire knowledge or not Therefore, it is not easy to find a certain interest in a language But if you are determined and trying enough, nothing is impossible Also with learning English fluently Here are some tips to make you better at English: Learn from people around you In my case, those people are mostly English speaking foreigners If you not have the opportunity to interact with foreigners, then learn from others who are more fluent in English than you, or have the same interest in learning English Learn from English language and radio program spokespersons Learn from an interpreter for a foreign delegation you meet by chance Learn from a foreign tourist asking for directions In short, anyone who is better at English than you can become a "school" If you take advantage of these opportunities, you will not be limited to learning English during the evening classes when your teacher asks you to open the notebook and read along with them Study proactively In fact, many of us often passively learn a foreign language: you sign up for a course a week, two or three sessions, go to class regularly and learn everything in the book and your homework as the The initiative here in my opinion is that you have to learn purposefully What are you learning for and what goals you have Based on that goal, you will find opportunities to use the language you have accumulated Always listen One of the most important things in learning English is listening Good English speakers are often hearing impaired In this respect, learning a foreign language is no different than learning music In the past, when 18 foreign languages were not popular at level 2, specialized language schools recruited at high school, to detect gifted individuals often test their ability to listen and repeat Gifted candidates not need to know a foreign language and can still repeat words or phrases in any language, no matter how the word is spelled In everyday language learning, people with good headphones recognize new words, different ways of speaking, correct pronunciation, and they recognize when they make mistakes in their pronunciation and speech They learn words or ways of speaking through listening, not necessarily recording or knowing how to spell Don't be afraid to ask, including "silly" questions When speaking directly to others in English, you will have the opportunity to have conversations and in these cases I suggest that you combine listening with asking Americans are very fond of the "No silly questions!" So they won't judge you if you ask "What does that mean?" When encountering difficult words you don't know If you don't know how to spell a word (such as a proper name), you can always ask, "How you spell that?"
