LESSON PLAN Unit 1: LOOKING BACK AND PROJECT Thái Thanh Thanh

1 Class details: 10A

2 Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students are able to:

 Recognize and pronounce correctly cluster sound /tr/, /br/, /kr/ in isolation and in context;

 Use words or phrases about Family life;

 Use the present simple tense and the present continuous tense;

 Exchange opinions about household chores

 Write about doing household chores in your family

3 Personal Objectives:

 Teacher applies appropriate eliciting techniques into teaching process

 Teacher can control class when setting up classroom activities

 Teacher makes sure that students can keep up with the activities

 Teacher’s language is approachable with students

4 ICT’s objectives:

 Fill the blank: helps students to use the words or phrases in the context and coorporate in working groups

 Matching: helps students to distinguish the two mentioned tenses

 Google form: helps Ss to collect the information (at home)

Time Stages Activities Work Arrangement

1 2 minutes Lead in  Teacher (T) will check the attendance and set up the

class

 Teacher will introduce the lesson

2 10 minutes Pronunciation  T introduces the task and plays the CD

 Students (Ss) listen and circle the cluster they hear

 T assigns /tr/, /kr/, /br/ to 3 lines of students then read 4/5 sentences containing all three clusters

 Ss listen and react by clapping their hands (when the cluster sound is equivalent to their sound)

3 5 minutes Vocabulary  T asks Ss to speak out the words under each picture

then let them write in their books

 T reminds Ss to use the correct form of the words when filling
