a numbered list of subjects dealt with in the resolutions Section - a list of resolutions adopted by the Assembly, the Council, the Maritime Safety Committee, the Marine Environment Protection Committee, and the Consultative Meetings of Contracting Parties to the London Convention, arranged in numerical order under each of the adopting bodies This section also indicates the subject number under which each resolution is listed in section Section - a list of resolutions arranged under the subject numbers given in section The present edition brings the Index of IMO Resolutions up to date up to the end of December 1994 Resolutions adopted at the seventeenth and eighteenth sessions of the Assembly, at the sixty-second to seventy-second sessions of the Council, at the fifty-eighth to sixty-fourth sessions of the Maritime Safety Committee, at the thirtieth to thirty-sixth sessions of the Marine Enviroment Protection Committee, and at the thirteenth to seventeenth Consultative Meetings of Contracting Parties to the London Convention have been added to those in the second edition Each resolution is normally classified under only one subject heading When a resolution relates to more than one subject, the choice has generally been made of the single most logical heading under which to classify it The numbering scheme used is identical to that of the second edition Exceptionally, however, a resolution may be classified under two different headings (one primary and one secondary), in which case both heading numbers are given in the appropriate column in the list in section 2, the primary heading being given first The resolution is also entered under both headings in the list in section 3, where the entry corresponding to the secondary heading is marked by an asterisk CONTENTS Section 1: Subject headings of resolutions Section 2: Numerical list of resolutions adopted by the Assembly, Council, MSC, MEPC and LC Assembly Council Section 3: 32 MSC 34 MEPC 36 LC 40 List of resolutions adopted by the Assembly, Council, MSC, MEPC and LC according to subject headings 42 SECTION Subject headings of resolutions Page GENERAL 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 IMO Convention Acceptance of duties Conventions relating to maritime safety 1.21 1.22 1.23 Conventions relating to pollution prevention 1.32 Work programme Meetings Conferences Assembly External relations Host State 1.61 United Nations and specialized agencies 1.62 Intergovernmental organizations 1.63 Non-governmental organizations Joint Inspection Unit Immunities and privileges Other matters ADMINISTRATIVE 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 Council Maritime Safety Committee Marine Environment Protection Committee Technical Co-operation Committee Other meetings Appointment of the Secretary-General 1.64 1.65 1.7 1.8 Other matters IMO policy 1.31 General 1.41 1.42 1.43 1.44 1.45 1.46 1.47 1.5 1.6 Financial Regulations Staff Regulations and Staff Rules Biennial work programme and budget Working Capital Fund Assessment and arrears 2.51 2.52 Assessment Arrears 2.6 Audits and accounts Appointment of External Auditor 2.61 Audits and accounts 2.62 2.7 2.8 Headquarters Other matters 42 42 42 42 43 43 43 43 44 44 44 45 45 46 46 46 46 47 47 47 47 48 48 49 49 49 50 50 50 50 52 52 52 53 53 53 53 54 54 Page LEGAL MARITIME SAFETY 4.01 4.03 55 4.011 Survey and certification 55 4.012 Port State control 56 4.013 Marine casualties 4.014 Relations between Governments, shipowners and masters Piracy and unlawful acts 56 57 57 Ship design, construction and equipment 59 59 4.032 4.033 4.034 Load lines Manoeuvring and steering gear 60 60 60 61 62 62 63 63 64 Tonnage measurement Other matters 4.036 Fire safety 4.041 4.042 4.043 4.044 Fire safety requirements Inert gas systems Fire test procedures Other matters Fishing vessels Bulk chemicals 4.061 Chemical tankers -
