Skills: Scanning, skimming, speaking 5. Teaching aids: Text book, hand outs, chalk, picture 6. Procedure: Time Procedure Aims/ 1 Arrangeme nt I. Warm-up 3’ Game: Slow Reveal: Wind Surfing - Put a picture in stages (allow sts to see only part of it). At each stage, ask sts to identify qhat they can see and qhat the whole picture might be. - Encourage differences of opinion and promote discussion. - The 1 st sts to call out what the picture is wins the game. Transition: Wind surfing is a water sport. There are many other water sports and we will get to know about them in unit 12. Sts guess the picture and answer questions II. Pre- Reading 10’ 5’ 1. Matching - Tell sts to look at the pictures and match them with their names. - Call on sts to give answers and check with the class.
