Trang 21Hardware Release Note Structure
Each hardware release note chapter follows the same structure:
• The network element related hardware is described under the heading
• Some general information of the network element and possible related embedded software isgiven
• The chapter is divided in subchapters according to different versions The latest version is alwaysdescribed first Under every hardware version there are three to four items; enhancements andfixed bugs (if applicable), dependencies, restrictions and bugs
The following conventions are used in the release notes
• The text No known bugs means that there are no bugs known to Tellabs.
• The text No known restrictions under version information means that there are no restrictions
when using this version of hardware
Trang 22Hardware Interrelation Tables
Hardware Dependencies of 8630 Smart Router Subrack and 8660 Smart Router Subrack
The following table shows the hardware dependencies of the 8630 Smart Router and 8660 SmartRouter subracks
The HW identification codes listed below are used to identify the following HW modules
CBB2026 Control Board for CDC1-ACBB2224 Control Board for CDC1-BCBB2300 Control Board for CDC2-BCMT2017 ETSI SEC Timing Module
CPB2207 DC-Feed Board for newer generation CDC1CPB2260 DC-Feed Board for CDC2
PIM2296 8660 Smart Router R2 DC48 Power Input Module board
LBA2024 IFC board for IFC1-ALBA2225 IFC board for IFC1-BLBA2250 IFC board for IFC2-B
Within one network element only the same type (A or B) of both CDC1 and IFC1 cards is supported.
IFC2-B can however be used together with any type of CDC1 and IFC1, but if the port protection features on IFC2-B are used, both interfaces in the protecting group must be IFC2-B.
If protection is used (two CDCs in the same NE), both CDCs must be of the same variant type (CDC1- A & CDC1-A in the NE, CDC1-B & CDC1-B in the NE or CDC2-B & CDC2-B in the NE) Concurrent use of CDC1 and CDC2 in the same NE is allowed only during upgrade.
