CHAPTER PREPOSITIONS (GIỚI TỪ) I ĐỊNH NGHĨA : * Giới từ tiếng đứng liên lạc danh từ danh từ tương đương với phần tử khác mệnh đề Ví dụ : ● I go to school ● He comes home from Hue * Tiếng theo sau giới từ gọi bổ túc từ ( object ) cho giới từ Vì ,nếu sau giới từ đại danh từ ( pronoun ) phải hình thức objective case ;nếu sau giới từ động từ phải chuyển sang dạng danh động từ ( gerund ) Ví dụ : ● He agrees with me about that matter ● I think of going to Dalat * Bổ túc từ giới từ : + Một danh từ (noun) : I hang my hat on the wall + Một đại danh từ (pronoun) : He lives among us + Một trạng từ (adverb) : I haven’t met your father yet till now + Một từ ngữ (phrase ) : He will not come till after the war + Một mệnh đề ( clause ) : I judge people by how they act * Note : Cần phân biệt giời từ trạng từ , từ có lúc dùng giới từ ,có lúc dùng trạng từ Ví dụ : ● He is in the room ( prep.) ● Come in please !
