Unit 1: A VISIT FROM A PEN PAL Week: 1, Period: 2, Lesson: GETTING STARTED & LISTEN AND READ Date: Sunday, 24 August 2008 I AIMS: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to introduce places and make a present Wish II LANGUAGE CONTENTS:  Grammar : - The Past Simple tense - The Past Simple with Wish  Vocabulary :  Teaching method: - Audio lingual - Audio visual - Explanation III TEACHING AIDS: - Posters, pictures, textbook IV PROCEDURES: CONTENTS Warm up: (5’) - Run through vocabulary (six pictures _ P.6)  Ask questions: - Do you have any pen pal? - Where does he / she live? - Has he / she ever visited your city? - If he / she came to visit you, where would you take him / her to?
