Aim: - Students read about the changes in the country life. II. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, students are able to know about the life of a village. III. Skills: - Scanning for specific information. Use the new words, which relate to the topic in speaking, asking and answering activities. IV. Teaching aids: - Pictures, board, chalk, textbook, tape, cassette. V. Procedure: Time Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 3’ 15’ - Greeting: - Good morning! - How are you today? - Who is absent today? - What is the topic of our lesson today? 1. Pre-reading - Give Ss 2 pictures and ask: + Look at the picture a, what do you see? What are they doing? + Look at the picture b, what do you see? + These pictures about the city or the country? + Do you prefer life in the city of life in the country? Why? - Now, work in pairs. Look at the picture and discuss the questions a. What are the people in the picture? b. How are they working? c. What do you think of the crop? d. What helps produce good crops? Vocabulary: - Now, I will present some new words to help you understand the text easily. They are harvesting. b. They are working hard. c. It is good / It is a bumper crop. d. Good farming methods/ farmers’ efforts using farming machines, fertilizers … - Pay attention to the new words. - Copy new words onto the notebook - Pay attention to the meaning of new words and examples, copy it into notebook - Read after the Ts Date:…………………….
